Library Pro'ec (continued) Donor wall Catherine Laurent informed.the Committee that the Friends refuse to pay for the donor wall. Catherine said she spoke with tinny and also with arbara'Notarius,President of the Friends. tinny told Catherine she likes the design; Barbara said it wasn't their design so they won't pay. Iry Goldberg said if they don't want it,tear down the wall. Motion: Irving Goldberg motioned that if the Friends won't pay then the nameplates are to be removed and stored until paid; Janice alis seconded the mottion; then put to vote: Vote: No Gilbert Ye ...Steve Cook yes..-Irving Goldberg es...Janice Mills es... J Ellis The motion passed with a vote of -1. Janet Mills exited the meeting at 6.55 p.m. A quorum was still present. Catherine said even though Friends ruse to make payment, Sign Design did the work and is to be paid. Motion: Steve Cook motioned to pay Sign Resign $5,550 based n satisfactory completion of the signs as determined by Catherine Laurent,DPW Director; Irving Goldberg seconded the motion; and it was unanimously approved by those Committee members present. Circulation fesk...Stewart Roberts is looking at plans for the circulation desk. Catherine reported that DPW is going to make the current desk drop for the DVDs smaller so it will be workable. Landselpip ...Catherine mentioned that at the last meeting Rick Pomroy showed this Committee a landscape estimate from Buffiree at a cost of$12,960. Catherine got 2 more bids-,--one came in at $14,650 and the other was $15,475. So Buffiree estimate was the lowest. However,Catherine said in reviewing the plan she believes some trees could be eliminated and in some places shrubs could be planted rather than trees. Catherine suggested maybe the end of August or September they could look at it. Catherine also mentioned that the Garden Club expressed an interest in doing something. Iry said they did a great job at the Senior Center. Catherine informed the Committee that Rick Pomroy will send> of re an,e-mail that 3 trees they planted are Tad so Rick is asking them to replace those trees. Invoices...
