Motion: Mr. Sweet moved to approve the Amended Order of Conditions, seconded by Mr. <br /> Smith. Vote unanimous 6-0 <br /> 6:18 Carl E. Mueller, Jr., Trustee, 130 Captains Row. Proposed demolition of existing dock <br /> structure and construction of pier, ramp, float and walkway. NOI <br /> Resource Area: Riverfront, Salt Marsh, LSCSF, BVW, Coastal Bank, Mashpee River <br /> Matt Costa, Cape and Island Engineering, represented the applicant. He stated the project <br /> consists of raze and dispose of existing licensed pier, ramp and float structure and the <br /> construction, licensing and maintenance of a new residential pier, ramp and float structure to be <br /> comprised of a set of 4; wide stairs leading to the pier, ramp and float section located at the <br /> seaward end supported by ten piles within the waters of Mashpee River. He reviewed the project <br /> on the plan. He noted a temporary staging area will be designated for material storage and <br /> woodcutting will be located in the upland area. Erosion and sedimentation controls will be installed <br /> and the site will be restored upon completion. All work from the seaward side will be done from a <br /> barge or by hand He stated the project will result in a benefit to the resource areas. The project <br /> meets the performance standards. <br /> The Agent reviewed the project on the photos and the comments on a letter from Marine Fisheries. <br /> He asked about a red cedar that was in line with the proposed pier. Mr. Costa said the tree will <br /> remain and they will slide over the pier and submit a revised plan. He noted the Shellfish <br /> Constable had no issue in regards to this area. <br /> No comments from the public <br /> Motion: Mr. Sweet moved to Close and Issue with the condition that a revised plan be <br /> submitted, seconded by Mr. Smith. Vote 6-0 <br /> 6:21 •Ashley A. Morgan, 196 Captains Row. Proposed construction of a pier, ramp, float, <br /> stairs, and landings. NOI <br /> Resource Area: Land Under Ocean, Salt Marsh, Coastal Bank, LSCSF <br /> Matt Costa, Cape & Island Engineering, represented the applicant. He stated the proposed project <br /> consists of the construction and maintenance of timber stairs with landings to be built over existing <br /> concrete steps and also to construct beach access stairs, pier, ramp and float structure. A system <br /> of support timbers and decking will connect to the stairs, ramp and float. A temporary staging area <br /> will be maintained for material storage and woodcutting in the upland area. Work from the <br /> seaward side will be done from a barge, erosion and sedimentation controls will be maintained and <br /> disturbed areas will be restored. He noted the Harbormaster and Shellfish Constable had no <br /> objections. The proposed project meets the performance standards. <br /> The Agent noted he didn't see any beach and said the stairs are going directly into the salt marsh <br /> and recommended the elimination of the stairs. Mr. Costa agreed to submitting a revised plan <br /> indicating the elimination of the stairs. He reviewed the comments from the Division of Marine <br /> Fisheries. <br /> No comment from the public. <br /> Motion: Mr. Sweet moved to Close and Issue with the condition that the plan be revised <br /> indicating the elimination of the stairs, seconded by Mr. Smith.
