Veronica Warden reported the90-gallon bins will be provided <br /> t a cost of $4. 00 per bin, which amount includes the bin and <br /> pick-up charges, by AAA Recycling. <br /> She also reported that the fiery Fine bottles are recyclable <br /> (PET) . <br /> Veronica warden suggested the best time to address some of <br /> these issues and attempt to initiate a program would be in <br /> August, in preparation for the beginning of the school year. <br /> Stephanie Jones stated she has been ire contact with waste <br /> Management regarding recycling in Falmouth. She was informed <br /> they are not involved with recycling, that everything is <br /> delivered to BFI for that purpose. She has also inquired about <br /> the possibility f recycling styrofoam items. <br /> Veronica warden has learned, after having rade several <br /> contacts, that there is no market for styrofoam. <br /> Stephanie Jones commented on the wisdom of purchasing <br /> biodegradable products, rather than those made of styrofoam. <br /> She volunteered to contact the Superintendent of Schools to <br /> inquire if this could be a consideration. <br /> Discussion <br /> Compactor Specifications and Locations <br /> Partial. Site Plan <br /> References were being made to Partial Site Plan-Record <br /> Drawing C-1-Town of ash e-Board of Selectmen, original drawings <br /> for the proposed transfer station. <br /> There was discussion rewarding the necessity of providing <br /> another slab, and a new pole. <br /> David Leveill.e reported that Mr. whritenou.r has requested <br /> arrangements be made with the Power Company. He volunteered to <br /> call the contact person and invite her to wally the site and share <br /> whatever information she has. He also stated he would contact <br /> the compactor company to request a briefing, in an attempt to <br /> completely understand the specifications. <br /> There wag also discussion regarding the current placement of <br /> the cardboard container at the transfer station, and the <br /> possibility of providing electrical wires to that location. <br /> The Chairman made the statement that providing a recycling <br /> area before the disposing of trash is more productive. He stated <br /> that in his opinion, the cardboard container should be located <br /> with the recyclabl.es. <br /> David Leveille tormented oh the basic layout, noting the <br /> _ - <br />
