MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE - REGULAR MEETING - FEBRUARY 2, 1994 PAGE <br /> 8.2 External Reports <br /> 8.2 . 1 Cape Cod Collaborative - Mr. Consalvi reported <br /> the Collaborative met on January 6th where medicaid <br /> reimbursement discussions took place. Mashpee will <br /> participate with the Collaborative; the Department of <br /> Employment court decision has been stelled regarding <br /> school bus drivers and should not be allowed to collect <br /> unemployment; a March 23 training workshop regarding <br /> inclusion is available to Committee members to attend; <br /> bids are going out for a new computer; the next meeting <br /> is scheduled for February 3, 1994. <br /> 8 .2 .2 Leisure Services - Ms. Gibbs distributed the <br /> spring programs listing and said Club --8 will commence <br /> on February 3. Also, the results of the Grade 4-8 <br /> Leisure Service Survey were distributed. <br /> 8.2 . 3 School Building Committees <br /> 8 .2 .3. 1 Addition - Dr, Petti reported that the . last <br /> meeting will be held on Friday, February 11, 1994 . <br /> 8.2 . 3.2 High School - firs. Mills said the architect <br /> interviews are still ongoing. <br /> 8.2 .4 Legislation - Dr. Petti reported that no <br /> meetings have been scheduled as yet. <br /> 8.2 .5 Safe Transportation Task_Force - Ms. Gibbs said <br /> the next meeting is scheduledR for March. <br /> Ix. Ms. Gibbs suggested setting up a meeting with School, <br /> Other Committee, Board of Selectmen, Finance Committee, Board <br /> of Assessors, Representative Torn Cahir and Senator <br /> Henri Raus henbach to discuss excess debt. So that all <br /> parties involved will understand the excess debt issue, <br /> Ms. Gibbs called a meeting for March 3, 1994. at 7 :00 <br /> p.m. in the Middle School Library. <br /> Dr. Betti asked if an. extension .to the budget <br /> submission has been granted. Dr. DeMoura said no <br /> response has been received as yet. <br /> Dr. Petti questioned the plowing of the schools by the <br /> DPW. Dr. DeMoura said the heavy plowing is done by the <br /> DPW although they have other town buildings to do also. <br /> Dr. DeMoura also informed the Committee that the <br /> transmission in the school truck is gone and will need <br /> ' <br /> repair. <br />
