1ASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE - REGULAR MEETING - MAY 4r 1994 PAGE program. Mr. Leclair explained that Cape Cod Community College currently offers three credit college courses via televised tapes to most of the Cape and Island area. They currently have agreements with a vreity of cable access channels to carry some or all of their telecourses and have had difficulty in accessing time on the Mashpee cable system to provide these courses. formally, there would be an $85.00 charge per semester to each student to cover costs, however, CCCC feels this charge is an unfair limitation therefore having courses broadcast will eliminate this charge. Mr. Leclair said the only requirement is that the courses be played back at the same day and same times each week., CCCC is requesting a minimum of our hours of air time to provide one telecourse for the summer. CCCC will provide all tapes ahead of time and a schedule for each each. Motion made by Mr. Consa lvi, seconded by Dr. Petti to allow CCCC to provide telecourses during the summer. VOTE: Unanimous V. 5al Personnel - D . DeMoura informed the Committee of the Report of following personnel issues: the Super- intendnt Betty Donahue - Dr. DeMoura informed the Committee of Mrs. Donahue's intent to retire at the end of the 1993-1994 school year. He accepted her letter of retirement with regret. . Array Cross - Dr. DeMoura informed the Committee of Mrs. Cross letter requesting permission to take a leave of absence during the months of September and October 1994 while her family travels to Europe. She plans to resume her teaching duties on November 7, 1994 . Lorraine Cott. - Mrs. Cotti has submitted a letter of resignation due to her continued pursuit of her doctoral studies. Dr. DeMoura accepted her resignation with regret.
