PERSONNEL BOAR] MINUTES PAGE <br /> MEETING OF MARCH 21 , 1994 <br /> not registered somewhere else . Helene said that this year' s volume would <br /> o over 70, 000 . She said that there is a limit on books --- five books <br /> and three videos to a customer. <br /> With regard to the additional five hours for the Library Aide, Helene <br /> commented that it is in the budget as an incr as . Joe asked in what <br /> area she would need the five hours . Helene said that it is not the <br /> intention to work one Library Aide twenty-five hours a weep , It would <br /> be filling in where you have people cover for a week with either Aide. <br /> Sometimes, there would be hours for one Aide and there would be hours <br /> for the other Aide . The Personnel Administrator discussed concerns of <br /> where the additional hours would put the non-standard part-tame Library <br /> Aide 1' hours a weep into a benefit situation where we would -have to i <br /> provide medical insurance. She commented that if you work the person <br /> more than 999 hours a calendar year, you would have to provide the <br /> coverage. Helene aaid that she would be on the look out for that . <br /> k <br /> At this point in the meeting, the Board thanked the Librarian and the <br /> Trustee for coming in, <br /> Marcia Lindsey said that she felt everything should be put on hold until <br /> e get a consultant . Bob commented that the Board needs to decide why <br /> they want a consultant., ghat they want a consultant to do, and what <br /> areas they want a consultant to review. <br /> The Board voted to change the job title of Library Aide to Circulation <br /> Assistant and to accept the newly proposed job description of the <br /> position. The Board felt that the extra hours being requested needed <br /> furth r study. The concern of the additional hours was that they would <br /> r <br /> be dispersed between the two aides so that there may be twenty hours one <br /> week, none the next and ten the following week . Marcia commented that <br /> they should put the funds into a Mage Account where it is not the intent <br /> to give the hours just to one Library Aisle, Joe said that he was not <br /> comfortable with the- hours being dispersed between the two aides . Th <br /> Personnel Administrator said that she thought it was the intent to <br /> increase the hours of the twenty-hour aide. The Board asked that a memo <br /> be seat to Bob whritenour expressing their concerns . <br /> With regard to the upgrade requests, the Board voted to continue to <br /> table it until further study can be done , <br /> The Board said that they would be in suppport of the additional two <br /> hours for the Library Assistant that they voted to adept the new jab <br /> description. <br /> Meeting with Director of Assessing <br /> The Board met with Dave Bailey, Direct -or of Assessing,. relative to the <br /> reclassification of the Data Collector position. Upon arrival , Dave <br /> brought an application for the Data Collector position in with him . The <br /> Personnel Administrator commented that they had received over forty <br /> applications to date. Bob commented that maybe they don' t need to <br />
