Markers for the new moorings are in place. Pilings which were left at the Great River <br /> Ramp by a contractor were removed. <br /> DNR Director/Shellfish Constable Report Rick York, Brian Everett <br /> Brian said there were no violations to report.The Shellfish Commission is expecting new <br /> s�K aqu hpermit requests to becoming in for approval. <br /> Committee Reports: <br /> Mashpee/Wakeby Lake and Johns Pond <br /> Don MacDonald reported that Mashpee/Wakeby Lake is very high at this time.There was a <br /> great deal of structural damage done over the course of the winter.Al Turner reported that he <br /> has been in touch with the State regarding the repair of the prop wash problem at the State <br /> ramp. Al will follow up with that progress. <br /> Water Quality Update <br /> Don MacDonald said there is no news but will be sending out the Spring testing dates to the <br /> volunteers in late April.Ashley Fisher reported they are working on a$500,000 Grant for new <br /> monitoring equipment. <br /> Public Access Update <br /> Ken Bates reported the Great River Ramp is in and the floats are sitting on skids ready for <br /> deployment. <br /> Waterways Improvement Plan and Dredging <br /> Ken Bates reported the Popponesset Approach Channel dredging was completed on March 2911 <br /> with mobilization taking place on the 3011,and 315', An awful delay due to the miserable winter <br /> conditions with heavy ice and winds that would not subside. Additionally, Ken is working on <br /> getting the dredge to move the sandbar point out of the channel in the Great River along with Al <br /> Turner and Rick York. Being an embayment channel dredge the applicable TOY restrictions have <br /> to be adhered to according to a phone conversation with the COE. <br /> Ken Bates noted that a truck delivered about a dozen pilings that were left by/on the sensitive <br /> area on the north side of the ramp at the water's edge. Someone with a chainsaw was seen <br /> cutting points on the bottom of the pilings with debris going into the water. Some pilings were <br /> transported up the river to the north and some were taken down the river to the south <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br />
