Board of Appeals Minutes - April 13, 1994 20 S, Joseph---DiMagio - Requests a Special Permit under Section 174-17 of the Zoning -laws for permission to sell propane grills and accessories in an R-5 zoning district on property located at 135 Main Street (Map 37 , Block 58 ) Mashpee, MA. (Advisement nt f rom January 12 , 1994 ) , Members sitting: M, M ku a , E. Govonl.r J . Regan Mr . Maku nas explained that the original hearing was heard by J. Friel, M. Makun as and E. Govoni . He said Mr. Friel was not available and the Board wanted to use the Rule o Necessity to act on the Petition by appointing ars alternate member to vote . He explained that failure to act could result in granting by default. Mr. Ma unas explained the Rule of necessity and here were no objections to the use . Mr . DiMaggio explained that the propane business was started in 1981 and the sale of drills was added in 1983, He said propane was also used for some of the school buses . Mr . Govoni moved to grant _the Special Permit. Mr . Regan seconded. All agreed. Marion .J. Khouri - Requests a Special Permit under Section 174-25 .G. 1 of the ZoningBy-laws to operate an oriental rug clearing and repair business in an l,-1 zoning district on property located at 92 Industrial Drive (Map 88 , Took 32 ) Mashpee, MA. (owners of recon: George H. Twomey and Robert W, Harris ) . Members sitting: M. I akunas, E. Govoni, J . ]began Ms. Khouri and her manager explained that they would have a pickup and delivery service for oriental rug cleaning. They shoved pictures of the machine thats used for cleaning and that minimum water is used. Carpets are hung to dry. Comments were received from the Board of Health stating they had no objections . Mr , Makunas Bread a letter from the water District which stated there are regulations. in the groundwater protection district . The business will be only cleaning and repair . Mr. Govoni moved to grant the Special Permit. Mr . Regan seconded. All agreed .
