HPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE - REGULAR MEET I - JULY 5t 1995 PAGE <br /> the move between schools is almost complete and <br /> that it went very smoothly. <br /> 5.2 .2 Middle school - Mr. Tio stated that the move <br /> was going well.; they are wording on regular <br /> sumer maintenance; stated that the principals <br /> met with Leisure Services to discuss the programs <br /> they will be offering in September. He stated <br /> the scheduling is coming along. He stated he <br /> attended an awards ceremony at Falmouth High <br /> School for varsity and junior varsity softball <br /> and wanted to inform the Committee that all seven <br /> awards presented went to Mashee students. <br /> 5.2 . 3 High school - Mr. Wi.11iams stated he was looking <br /> forward to the challenge that lies ahead - and <br /> stated he was veer excited to be here. <br /> 5. 3 FY95 Budget - Dr. DeMoura stated that they were at the <br /> end of the fiscal year and his staff was trying to close <br /> everything down. <br /> 5. 4 Enrollments - Dr. DeMoura stated that all new <br /> registrations were being dome at his office. He stated <br /> they had registered 9 children, of which 6 are in <br /> Kindergarten. This ] rings the number of Kindergarten <br /> children up to 156 or 157, which is high. He stated <br /> that if they need to add a classroom for Kindergarten <br /> children, it will be added at the Middle school . Mrs . <br /> Lynch questioned why there was no half day program being <br /> offered. Dr. DeMoura stated that they were offering to <br /> parents the choice of a whole or half day program. Mrs . <br /> Lynch stated that she was not offered this when <br /> registering her child last spring. Dr. DeMoura stated <br /> he would look into this. <br /> 5. 5 Food service Update - Dr. DeMoura presented a food <br /> service report through May 31st . He suggested that the <br /> same prices be maintained into the next school year <br /> because of the central kitchen concept . He reported <br /> that the Dept. of Education, Bureau of nutrition, had <br /> completed a review of their entire lunch program and he , <br /> was pleased to report that they had been rated as good <br /> to excellent. He presented a copy of the RFP that was <br /> being sent out for the food service contract and stated <br /> that it was only for a one year contract, due to the <br />
