Mrs. Dawes was invited to attend <br /> tonight's meeting so the Committee could meet her and ask <br /> any questions they may have. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs,, Lynch, t <br /> appoint Sandra C. Dawes as the School. Committee liaison to <br /> the Leisure Services Advisory Council. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 7 .2 Educational Foundation Liaison - Mrs. Cook Motioned to <br /> nominate Mrs, Mills to be the Educational Foundation Liaison <br /> for the 1996-1997 school year. Mrs. Lynch seconded the <br /> motion. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 7 . 3 Job Description - School. Facilities Su ervi or - Dr. DeMoura <br /> said with the retirement of Dead Custodian Richard Purrier <br /> in September, a need exists for a new job description for <br /> his position. Due to growth in the school system as well as <br /> the air quality issues that meed to be addressed, the job of <br /> "Head Custodian" needed to be expanded, thus the new job <br /> description of School. Facilities Supervisor. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Lynch, seconded by Ms. Macdonald, to <br /> approve the School. Facilities Supervisor job description. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 7. Job Description - Gifted Teacher - With the addition, of <br /> "Math Topics" as mentfi ned under 6.6, "Gifted Program <br /> Criteria/Selection Process, " a motion was made by Mrs. <br /> Mills, seconded by Mrs,-* -Cook, to approve the Job Description <br /> for Gifted Teacher. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 7 ,5 eco nition of Efforts - Mr. Paxton had asked to place this <br /> on the agenda for discussion. This would encompass <br /> acknowledgement gement of efforts of teachers and students, <br /> positive motes of things on-going in the school system. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Lynch, seconded by Mrs. Cook, to approve <br /> the Recognition of Efforts each month and place on the <br /> agenda. <br /> Mrs. Lynch asked who would decide to acknowledge those <br /> efforts.
