Page 15 <br /> Mashpee School Committee <br /> Minutes-Regular Meeting <br /> October 2, 1996 <br /> VIII. 8.4 FY98 Capital Improvement Needs <br /> New <br /> Business Dr.DeMoura presented a list of FY98 Capital Improvement Needs <br /> (continued) to the Committee. Correspondence was received from Robert Whritenour <br /> requesting submission of a capital request for all capital outlays in excess <br /> of$10,000 as per his memo of September 17, 1996 addressed to all <br /> Department Heads. <br /> The Committee reviewed the School Department's Capital Improvement <br /> Needs itemized one through seven, in addition to request number eight <br /> in the amount of$15,000 for a used maintenance truck. Total request: <br /> $385,000. <br /> The upgrade of the air ventilation system at the Kenneth C. Coombs <br /> School is the prioritized improvement activity of the School Committee. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Mills to accept the list of FY98 Capital Improvement <br /> Needs in the amount of$385,000, and forward the requested outlays to <br /> the Capital Improvement Committee. <br /> Motion seconded by Mrs. Lynch. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> Mrs. Cook abstained. <br /> 8.5 Temporary Administrative Arrangements Policy CE <br /> In the event of the absence of the assigned administrator, it is important <br /> that the responsibility for decision making be clearly established indicated <br /> Dr.DeMoura who recommended the Committee review the Temporary <br /> Administrative Arrangements Policy CE for consideration. <br /> 8.6 School Improvement Plan 1995 - 1996 <br /> The Committee reviewed the School Improvement Plan for 1995 - 1996 <br /> as presented by the Middle School Council. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Mills to approve the School Improvement Plan <br /> 1995 - 1996 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Mrs. Lynch. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />
