Motion was seconded by Mr.-Paxton. <br /> OTE: In favor - Mr-s. Mills, Mr. Paxton, Mrs. Cook, Ms. Macdonald; <br /> opposed - Mrs. Lynch. <br /> Mrs. Mills explained her motion stating she would rather vote on a . <br /> librarian for the Quashnet Diver and School and a .5 librarian for the <br /> Quashnet Valley school which would allow those respective principals to <br /> i supervise those librarians. She said the principals of the Quashnet <br /> Schools should be given the sane supervisory responsibilities as the <br /> i <br /> principals of the Coombs School and High school. Dr. DeMoura stressed <br /> the library supervisor position has not been budgeted for. <br /> Discussion followed on carious configurations of library positions and <br /> specials. <br /> Motion made by Mr. Paxton to hire one librarian at the Coombs School, <br /> one librarian at the Quashnet River School and one library assistant at <br /> the Quashnet Valley School. Motion was seconded by Mr-s. Mills. <br /> More discussion followed at this point. <br /> VOTE: In favor - Mr. Paxton, Mrs. Cook, and Mrs. Mills; opposed - Mrs. <br /> Lynch and IVIS. Parolski began her discussion be <br /> New , clarifying some statements made earlier in the meeting by a concerned <br /> Business parent regarding whole language. she strongly stressed that in her 20- <br /> year career in Il ashpee, the school system has never followed any of the <br /> pedagogy that whole language follows. <br />
