Provides training and monitoring to ensure <br /> continuity and duality in educational services. <br /> In eDendent evaluations; Adopts the federal standards. Requires <br /> training and guidelines for school districts in evaluation Procedures. <br /> Eliminates conflict of interest by evaluators and establishes rate setting <br /> oversight of evaluation fees. <br /> State School District Cost Sharing. Currently reviewing data collected <br /> y DOE and will make recommendation to Mouse Working Group prior to <br /> June 1 , 1997 for state/school district cost sharing. <br /> Colla oratives: Increases and maximizes use of collaboratives to share <br /> resources and to encourage program efficiency. Adjusts the School <br /> Building Assistance SA ) formula to Provide incentives for housing <br /> collaborative programs. <br /> In ura ce/Medicaid: Provides for school systems to share in medicaid <br /> reimbursement to municipalities. Authorizes further study of measures <br /> needed to ensure cost sharing by private medical insurers. <br /> Private Charter and Choice Schools: Requires enrollments in equivalent <br /> Massachusetts private schools over out--of-state schools. Ensures school <br /> district voice in development of Independent Educational Plans (1EP) for <br /> children enrolled in charter and choice schools. <br /> 7. DNR Orders/Cape Cod Collaborative Polic -- Dr. Delloura explained <br /> this report and legal opinion regarding Do Not Resuscitate DMR Orders. <br /> The legal opinion (from Murphy, Hesse, 'roomer and Lehane lav firm) <br /> states that a DNR Order requested by any parent whose child attends the <br /> Cape cod Collaborative should not be honored <br /> 7.9 Out-of-State Special Education ProgEam RegL-ilations - Dr. DeM ur <br /> explained this correspondence from the Department of Education which <br /> states the local school districts, through the Chapter 766 TEAM process, <br /> have full responsibility to determine ghat services are necessary for a <br /> student with special education needs.
