MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE - REGULAR MEETING -- NOVEMBER 2. 1998 PAGE 7.8 October Suspensions - Mr. MacDonald reported on the suspensions for October. Also included were Saturday School Office Detention sessions. DTIII. Specifically ll .1 Superintendent Search Update - Mrs. Cook gave an update Assigned/ on the latest superintendent search activities. She said a meeting Unfinished a was held with the search committee to devise questions to ask of Business each of the nine semi-finalists. Interviews will be held on November 9, 10, 12, and 16, 1998. The three finalists will be named on November 18th. .2 Joint xplorator rogram Agreement from Cape Cod Tech - Due to a miscommunication, the representative from Cape Cod Tech did not attend this meeting but will be rescheduled for the December meeting. .3 Community School Revolving count - Mrs. Parols i noted the Future Problem Solving and odyssey of the Mind programs will need approximately $1,500. IX. New Business 9.1 High School Block Scheduling - High School PrincipalJohn Williams explained the block scheduling concept which may p p y commence late in the 1998-1999 school year, .2 Blackwood Z Murphy project - .,Quashnet River School - iscussed earlier In the meeting. IX. Committee 10.1 Sub-Committee Deports Reports 10.1.1 Negotiations - Mrs. Lynch said letters have been received from the negotiating Units requesting possible meeting dates. Mrs. Lynch and Mr. Paxton will review these dates and respond to each unit's representative. 10. ..2 High School - FIs. Macdonald said there has been n meeting since last month, however, she had received a letter regarding the restricted usage of high school facility. 10.1,3 Elementary School - Mrs. Cook said there had not been a meeting but one needs to be scheduled to discuss some issues. A meeting will be set up.
