The review has been done as if the
submittal was for a standard subdivision street but with the understanding that no submittal under
MGL Chapter 41 or the Mashpee Planning Board Mules and Regulations is required. However the
Mashpee Rules and Regulations have been referred to for various technical aspects of design and
proposed construction. There the submittals differ from those standards of design or construction,
specific references to the various sections of the Mules and Regulations are provided.
toren'water Management System and Hydro loical Analysis
The analysis for stormwater management was done using standard and accepted
procedures to determine runoff rates and volumes for the existing site and for post construction
conditions. This includes an analysis from the -gear, 10-year, 25-year and 100'-year storm
events. The analysis approach appears to be accurate but needs some adjustment.
The following comments are with respect to the information contained in the report.
I In order for the road system to be considered in compliance with the Mashpee Subdivision
Rules and regulations, the design considerations should comply. This includes the
stormwater analysis.
Section IX(J)( ) of the regulations require that all parts of the stormwater system should be
sized for a minimum 25 year storm. The piping system for the project has been designed for
the 10 year storm event. See pp 4 of the report.
. section JX(J)(g) of the Regulations require test pit logs to be shown on the plans. since this
section of the regulations is for stormwater, this would appy to all stormwater management
areas (SWMA) shorn on the plans. The report (pp 3) suggests that test pits are to be dug at
each of the SWMA at the time of construction. This has been shown to be unacceptable
because of the chance of conditions existing that could alter the design. It is recommended
that at least
