I1 <br /> • Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 27, 2006 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Kidz' Korner Day Care: <br /> Correspondence was received from Kathleen Muzerall dated February 21, <br /> 2006 requesting land on Frank E. Hicks Drive for the construction of a <br /> Mashpee Child Care Early Learning Center. The matter was taken under <br /> advisement. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Review and Approval of Memorandum of Agreement— 10 Acre Site: <br /> The topic was deemed a matter related to Executive Session. <br /> Town of Brewster—Recommend Amendments to Room Occupancy <br /> Excise: <br /> • Correspondence was received from the Town of Brewster dated February <br /> 13, 2006 relative to drafts of an amendment to extend the current room tax <br /> to private homes,condos and time-shares. The matter was taken under <br /> advisement. There was not additional comment. <br /> Recommended Amendments for Permits/Passes for Transfer Station& <br /> Beaches: <br /> Catherine Laurent,Assistant DPW Director was present to discuss <br /> amendments to the Policy for the Purchase and Use of Permits for the <br /> Mashpee Transfer Station and Mashpee Beaches/Regulations for Use and <br /> Operation of the Transfer Station. <br /> As per the Selectmen's directive,the public was allowed to comment on <br /> the above. Fourteen responses were received from residents regarding the <br /> permits/passes. Several residents were noted to be in opposition to the 8 <br /> bag limit of household trash per week. Other resident's comments on the <br /> Trust. The policy was amended to read: For property owned by a Trust, <br /> the Trustee(s) shall be deemed owner of said property. For property <br /> owned by a LLC or a LLP,the Managing Member or the Managing <br /> Partner respectively shall be deemed owner of said property. <br /> • Discussion followed with regards to the benefits of curbside collection. It <br /> was agreed the matter would be further reviewed. <br />
