MINUTES March 14 , 1991 2 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. Greelish explained, thisBoard cannot 'circumvent the <br /> intent of the law by permitting the unit to be moved just <br /> prior to the required date, then hack to the same location. <br /> i <br /> Mr. Costa motioned to deny the request for a mobile food <br /> permit, Mr. Doherty seconded, all agreed. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Stan Ingram - Farmer's Market <br /> Mr. Ingram was -in attendance for this scheduled appoint- <br /> ment. <br /> Mr. Evans relayed Mr. Ingram was informed there must be <br /> access to an acceptable water supply and toilet facility, <br /> The proposed location does not offer these accommodations. <br /> Ir. Ingram stated the -market would .operate one day per <br /> weep. Farmers would sell their home grown produce from one <br /> location. Each farmer would he charged a fee of $5.00 per <br /> day. <br /> Mr, Costa questioned Mr, Ingram as to how he could en- <br /> sure all produce was grown locally. <br /> Nr. Ingram responded he is acquainted with most farmers <br /> utilizing the market. As the market expands it may he neces- <br /> sary to visit each farm. <br /> Mr. Evans reiterated his earlier concerns regarding the <br /> lack of sanitary facilities. <br /> Mr. Ingram responded, he is proposing to utilize land <br /> owned by Fields Point on Route 28 across from Angelo's. <br /> Restroom facilities within Mashpee Commons would be available <br /> for use. Fields Point is currently renegotiating their lease <br /> with Ang lo's which may permit market operations within the <br /> Commons,. <br /> M . Greelish stated he would he agreeable to the op� <br /> eration of the Farmers Market if Fields Point is willing to <br /> offer their- facilities. <br /> Mr, McQuaid reminded the Board of conditions setforth by <br /> this Board in the special permit for Dick & Elbe's Flea Mar- <br /> ket <br /> Mr. McQuaid voiced his concern with the facilities at <br /> Ma tepee Commons being not readily accessible to the standop- <br /> erators on Route 28, <br />
