MINUTES May 3o, 1991 3 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. Doherty informed Mr�. Mowbray all Mashpee refuse must <br /> e disposed of at the OtisTransfer Station. "If this re- <br /> guirement cannot tae met business operations in the town of <br /> Mashpee must cease. 11 <br /> Mr* Mowbray stated Waste Disposal did notify all sur- <br /> rounding towns. "-our agreement carne in effect prior to the <br /> adoption of any -ordinances, " <br /> r Mr. Costa questioned Mr. Mowbray as to whether Taste <br /> Disposal has ever obtained a license in this town to dispose <br /> of refuse. <br /> Mr, Mowbray stated, he is unsure, <br /> Mr, costa stated he never recalls this Board. ever li- <br /> censing the company. <br /> Mr. Mowbray stated business operations in this town were <br /> initiated four months ago. <br /> Mr, Greelish informed Mr. .Mowbray the towns of Falmouth <br /> and Sandwich are under the same contractual obligations a <br /> Mashpee. 11SEMAS cannot not accept refuse from the three <br /> downs directly. " 'twee understand you have contractual obliga- <br /> tion with ,Falmouth to dispose of their refuse at the Trans- <br /> fer Station. "Falmouth handles all-gthe r fees.tt "Our , ompany did <br /> not want to find ourselves in 'a ' s. <br /> that would cost an � . <br /> exorbitant amount of money to pick up trash. " <br /> Mr. Doherty questioned Mr. Mowbray as to why he has not <br /> pained a license in this town if he has been operating in <br /> it for a few months. <br /> M '.+ Mowbray stated, the town of Mashpee is restricting <br /> his trade. <br /> Mr. Doherty responded, it is the town of Mashpee's <br /> trash. <br />
