MINUTES July 11, 1991 3 BOARD of HEALTH <br /> Mr, William Burtis stated he was never informed thatap- <br /> proved must be obtained from the Board of Health. Mr. Burns <br /> stated he will provide a copy of plans to the Board of Health <br /> tomorrow. <br /> Mr. McQuaid addressed the issue of fire extinguishers. <br /> 0 <br /> Mr. Burtis responded between % and 90% of all - boats <br /> and all new boats have a halon system, <br /> Mr. McQuaid addressed the ,issue of boat pump-outs. "The <br /> response submitted stated, customers boats may be emptied <br /> into the bousehouses as a "pump-out" service" * <br /> Mr, McQuaid stated that is not acceptable to the Bard <br /> of Health. 'You can't expect to pump-out a marine portable <br /> toilet into a portable toilet, " F Il 1 t must be emptied i to a <br /> underground tight hold.ing tank and must be emptied b a li- <br /> censed <br /> iceased p mper. " <br /> Mr, costa stated be would like to see the service of- <br /> fered through proper procedu eso <br /> M * Burtis responded they are pumped every Thursday. <br /> Mr. Jonathan Burtis informed the Board their expansion <br /> plans incorporates a tight holding tank, and sanitary fa- <br /> cilities. "At this time we are unable to provide these ser- <br /> vices due to financial constraints. <br /> Mr. Costa explained, this is a, ,E. requirement. <br /> "This Board will work with you to meet this r uirement. " <br /> Mr. McQuaid addressed the "Emergency Spill Contingency <br /> la " .ci d the "Interim Emergency enc Contingency Plan" , "Deputy <br /> Chief Baker stated a copy was faxed to him two days ago and <br /> P. <br /> has since reviewed and approved plans as submitted. "Deputy <br /> C.'hief Baker agrees the Mashpee Fire Department followed b <br /> the coast Guard Station at Woods Hole be notified prior to <br /> State and Federal notification.
