i <br /> # w <br /> • . 'Motion rade by Selectman Thomas, seconded by Selectman Garland, to <br /> accept the Minutes of 12/10/80 <br /> . Selectman Garland informed Chairman that in regards to the bid for <br /> the Town Mall Heating Syst mr it was divided into three sections and <br /> no bid was received on the second -section. <br /> Based on the above , Selectman Garland moved that the Board decline <br /> all bids and go out for bid again using the same specs. Board <br /> concurred on this action. { <br /> Selectman Thomas informed Board that in regards to the Transit <br /> Authority to include Mashpee-, she has spoken with Mr. Warren. <br /> Mr. warren stated that Mashpee may enter into the program for <br /> six months but he suggest a year., because it gives you more time <br /> to sec what the program can do for you. In regards to the % <br /> schedule, we do not have to participate in all the runs . We can <br /> pick out what we feel is prime time. <br /> Chairman asked what this would cost. <br /> Selectman Thomas responded that he didn' t give a figure on this <br /> information. <br /> Selectman Thomas stated that although the B-Bus' comes up to <br /> your door, there is serious move afoot- to .change the operation <br /> of the B-Bus wherein it will be geared more t wards1st# r �dde.rl r and <br /> handicap. That might .change the use of the Transit Bus . <br /> Selectman Garland asked if both the B-Bus and Transit Authority <br /> would both be in place or aro we in a situation where .it would <br /> be one or the other. <br /> Selectman Thomas stated no, <br /> Chairman asked if Mr. warren set a deadline as to when we have <br /> to say aye or nay.. <br /> Selectman Thomas stated no it was up to us. <br /> hairxrtan a keds-that-.i f` wie try`,-,-this arid-,- say.---i -'--a month n1�� -nep . pl <br /> participated,ated, could we cancel and no or cost incurred. <br /> Selectman Thomas responded that this is the intend. You aro not <br /> obligated. <br /> Town Counsel suggested that the Board request this in writting <br /> from Mr. Warren. <br /> Selectman Garland stated that he. has- some serious reservations <br /> and it may be one sided. In observing the buses - that I have- an- d <br /> it is limited to be sure , but they = don.' t stern to b very well <br /> patronize. If we can have some written assurance that we can <br /> coo into this thine on a trail basis for whatever period that we <br /> decide as to whether we want to continue or abandon it, fine. <br /> I am willing to give it a try but I don' t want to go into it <br /> for a year and only fine three people riding it in a month. <br /> _10- <br />
