Selo Thomas stated that it appears to her <br /> that the Pirate's Cove group has successfully tapped the Town for funds <br /> once; now they want to try .to do so again. She pointed out that this is <br /> why we need to have the Highway Dept. Superintendent bring the matter be <br /> fore Town Fleeting to help get some priorities established. After all, <br /> there are many other areas in Town that are having problems with their <br /> roads , and Pirate's Cove -has had some attention recently. <br /> The Selectmen agreed to having the request from the Lioness for the <br /> use of Town Hall placed on the Agenda for the next day. <br /> Tom's Place: lir. Murphy reported on the apparent imminent sale of the <br /> property, and the fact that the buyers have notified this office of thei <br /> hope to open on Decembet 7 or ; he doubts if the license can be pro- <br /> cessed that quickly. Selo Thomas std there may be someone at the <br /> .B.C.C. (Mr. Casino who right be willing to cooperate in "walking it <br /> through". The Selectmen .instructed Mr. Murphy to go ahead and schedule <br /> a Hearing as early as possible, and they will vote on the transfer re- <br /> quest tomorrow, so far as initiating the process. . <br /> Mr. Murphy reported on theM.M.A. Saturday morning session which he had <br /> attended. He had picked up some potentially useful - insurance informatio <br /> and passed it along to Barbara Hammond for her reaction. <br /> Selectmen' s Reports <br /> Sel. Thomas brought up the question of negotiations , since there are two <br /> contracts coming up to be+ negotiated, she feels the Board had better start <br /> some planning. Both she and Chm. Garland had attended the Joint Labor/ <br /> Management Session at the M.M.A. Annual Conference, Mr, Garland had found <br /> the way they operate most interesting. As fair as comparing what is happen- <br /> Ing between Towns, this information is only valuable if you also have in- <br /> formation as to where the negotiating parties started; one Town may be <br /> giving a to i <br />
