Garland asked if the petitioners could back out after they hear the <br /> estimate? Presumably they could. Then who, Mr . Garland asked, would <br /> bear the engineering costs for the estimate? Mr. Murphy said there <br /> would have to be a public hearing to air the estimate, then if the <br /> i petitioners chose to back out, the Town would have to swallow the engi- <br /> n e i g costs, he assumes. The two Selectmen present, signed the new <br /> license so that it could he delivered in time for a noon 'opening. <br /> m. Garland reviewed the meeting he had attended on the new Btu Cross/ <br /> Blue Shield rates. Sed-. Thoma pointed out that the rate could increase <br /> to $150 per family; Mr. Murphy reported that D ar ara Hammond had ob- <br /> tained the rates from Aetna, which would amount to $176. per family. <br /> el. All in agreement. <br /> Regarding the taxi application, Mr. Murphy reported that the By-Laws <br /> prohibit this use in that area; it is not a permitted use for hone <br /> occupation.
