Mr. Kogut <br /> said that he estimates that they will be open in six- weeks . C.hm. Thomas <br /> asked Mr, .Kogut i-f -he .had received a .copy of the rules and regulations for <br /> the operating of liquor licenses . Mr. Kogut replied. that he did not. Chm. <br /> Thomas said that she feels the same way about his license as she does with <br /> the Wigwam, that is that it has been inactive and that this- is not the intent <br /> of a license . Mr. Kogut explained that they have only been closed for four <br /> months and that they have had. aiot of problems and repairs . Chm. Thomas said <br /> that by law he is only allowed to be . closed down fore thirty-. days .and therefore <br /> the Board realizes that four months i's a long time.. Chm, Thomas asked if <br /> the rest of the Board had any comments . Sel. Garland said that he' feels <br /> the Board shouldxtend Mr. Kogut the sante courtesy that was given Mr. Mit- <br /> chell and that is that. one week from today he- submi-ts in writting what his <br /> plans are, del.. garland st r ested that--Mr. .,-Kgut state in the letter a time <br /> schedule of his plans and the proposed date f the opening and the hours . <br /> se l . Garland said .the above statement was a motion. Seconded by Sel. Hanson., <br /> This is. a vote . Chm. Thomas thanked Mr. Kogut for coming. <br /> p.m. - Mr. Bill Peters came to give an update- of the Route 28 project. <br /> He stated that the state is- only going to allow one curb cut. <br /> Discussion followed on this . Mr. Peters also showed schetches <br /> of the architecture of the biiildings going in there and he said <br /> he hopes - to 'start construction on March 1 , 1983. Board informed <br /> Mr. Peters of their concerns on the traffic effect. Mr. Peters <br /> stated that they are concerned 'with the traf f ic problems on Route <br /> 28 also. Chin. Thomas wished him -good luck. <br /> p. . Vernice Polka, Town Accountant and- Robert Sanders, Dog Officer/ <br /> Natural Resources Officer were in to discuss the Memo o,f Under- <br /> standing and the Public Notice on 'animal occyntrol. s 1 . Garland <br /> moved to rake corrections on the public notice of the sentence <br /> that says ; "If the owner t ere f claims such and pays . to the <br /> Officer or Constable the sum of twenty five dollars together <br /> with the pound fee of -two dollars , and a handling fee for each <br /> day that it is - so held, this is to be deleted and after the <br /> word Constable all fines and fees per posted on the schedule, " <br /> is to be instated. Further Sel. Garland said that the words <br /> Kennel and if any should be deleted on the memorandur f under- <br /> standing. seconded by Sel . Hanson.' This is a vote . This . is <br /> be forwarded to Town Counsel for approval . Discussion followed <br /> on the appointment of Mr. Michael J. Collins owner of Temroc <br /> Kennls as Assistant Dog Officer. There will be no salary involved. <br /> Mr. Collins will submit his monthly bills as he sloes now only <br /> this will make it legal. sel. Garland moved to appoint Mr. <br /> Michael J. Collins , Assistant Dog Officer, Seconded by sel. Han- <br /> son. This is a vote .. <br /> . The Board also discussed the Natural. Resources officer's re- <br /> quest to attend schoo-i- which had been postponed until this <br /> week.. Board denied the request because of the time the school <br /> is scheduled. The Board feels that the months of August,, Septem- <br /> ber and October are going' to be very busy months for this officer. <br /> hm. Thomas stated that the Board would reconsider this request <br /> at a - later date F for the January classes . <br />
