It was asked that all records of the commission <br /> since- it was established be located for there preview., some informa- <br /> ti l'1s locked 1n the fire cabinet 1n the selectment s office. <br /> Mr. Murphy was asked to notify personnel that the Historic Commission <br /> is 1n need of a secretary. <br /> The question of conflict of interest relative to fir. Pocknett 1f he <br /> was to become a full-time member was asked. Town Counsel pointed <br /> out there would not, <br /> It was also a§.ked 1f the State was notified. of the appointments to <br /> the commission. <br /> Selectmen asked if anyone from the Historic Commission would be Interested <br /> in sitting on the committee for the Tereentennary celebration. Miss <br /> Tanneyhill will bring this issue up at their first meeting and get back <br /> to the Board. <br /> Selectmen thanked the members for coming. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. The Board received a memo regarding a proposed change of the by-laws <br /> to allow camping on land maintained by the Conservation Commission. <br /> vote is necessary to allow an article on the warrant of the special <br /> town meeting, <br /> Selectman Terry moved to inert the article o the warrant of the <br /> special town meeting in December. Selectman Hanson seconded. All were <br /> 1n favor. <br /> 2. Selectmen received a letter from Mr. Silverman who 1s concerned with <br /> the decision of the Board regarding handicapped parking. <br /> Mr. Murphy pointed out that the by-laws do not address the enforcement <br /> of handicapped parking. He also stated that he has advertised for anyone <br /> interested in serving on a committee to assist the town with evaluation <br /> of town programs and facility accessibility to the handicapped. <br /> Selectmen suggested that the Business Association be contacted to get <br /> their input regarding this matter.
