Mrs. Courtemanche said that she has <br /> put professional ism. in the office. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1 . Selectman Thomas moved to authorize the Chairman to sign <br /> a letter of intent for SEMASS and that an article be brought <br /> to town meeting. Selectman Terry seconded. ` l l in favor, <br /> . Selectman Thomas advised the Board that three members o <br /> the Conservation Commission met with McGregor & McGregor on <br /> the issue between the Town of Mashpee versus the New Seabury <br /> Corp . and because of the $2500 limitation, they would l i e to <br /> have the Board accept thea as consultants to allow theme to <br /> access what has been put before there. When they are done <br /> with the assessment, they will meet with the Board of <br /> Selectmen and Conservation Commission to tell how they see <br /> the case. <br /> i <br /> Town Counsel said that -he wrote to McGregor & McGregor and <br /> suggested that he would volunteer to stay as Counsel of <br /> record. He said that he gave them a copy of the injunction <br /> and the one-sentence stipulation which was filed relative to <br /> the injunction and a copy of the docket entry sheet. <br /> Selectman Hanson asked if there was any indication as to hog <br /> long it would be before he would come with an estimate? Town <br /> Counsel said that he mentioned that he was not willing to <br /> file an appearance and get involved i n the case for the <br /> $2,500 ceiling imposed. He will review pleadings, revie the <br /> file contents and make a visit to the site and prepare the <br /> answer and come up with specific recommendations for the <br /> Chairman . Selectman Hanson asked if he were willing to be- <br /> come the town's attorney? Selectman Term said that he <br /> thought that he wanted to maize a further evaluation. Select- <br /> man Hanson asked if he would discuss finances at some point <br /> in time? Town Counsel said that he rade that very clear. <br /> The Executive Secretary asked if the Board wanted to include <br /> an article to provide funds in the legal and engineering <br /> account. Town Counsel recommended putting the article in and <br /> 'eaving the amount bl ark <br /> The Board agreed to sign a letter to be sent to McGregor <br /> McGregor . <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1 , The Selectmen reviewed a memo from Selectman Thomas <br /> advising them that Mrs. Coombs called for Mr , Kenneth Coombs, <br />
