General Order 500.25 <br /> SUBJECT: In-Service Training Programs (page 2) <br /> 8. Make recommendations for new programs and approximate cost of <br /> such programs. <br /> 9. To assist in the establishment of priorities among identified <br /> training needs. <br /> 10. To act as an instructor during presentation of training programs <br /> whenever necessary. <br /> 11. To actively participate in .the training program evaluation process. <br /> B. The Training Council Chairman Shall: <br /> 1. Report directly to the Deputy Chief of Police or Chief of Police <br /> progress evaluation of training conducted. <br /> 2. Insure that a continuing training schedule is maintained with at <br /> least onetraining session per month. <br /> 3. Insure adequate records are kept reflecting attendance, dates, <br /> instructors, and topics of instruction. <br /> 4. Insure that personnel of the Department attend all mandated training <br /> sessions and take immediate corrective action where members fail to <br /> comply with mandated training requirements. <br /> 5. Coordinate with State and other Agencies to make available timely, <br /> accurate, and standardized training to the Department. <br /> V. GENERAL: <br /> A. Methods and Types of Instruction: <br /> The following is a list of types of in-service training to be conducted <br /> under the provisions of this General Order: <br /> 1. Recruit or basic level training <br /> 2. Regularly scheduled refresher or advanced level training <br /> 3. Continuous in-service training <br /> 4. Nonscheduled special in-service training <br /> 5. Roll Call Training <br /> 6. Training Bulletins <br /> 7. Supervisory level training . <br /> 8. Pre-promotional training <br /> 9. Command Level Training <br /> 10. Administrative Level Training <br /> B.
