Dr. Kerfoot said that there would be another hearing and that they are saving the hearing for. discussion of the feasibility* el # Thomas asked if the Guard Bureau had been approached with regard to purchase of the property's Dr. Kerfoot said that there has been discussion i th the Guard Bureau relative to the consi- deration onsid ration of acquisition of land under the Hazardous Waste Program. No definition of what the conditions of acquisition has been con- sidered. on#sid red. The property to the northern end presently has recrea- tional ecrea- tional potential . They feel that the full evalpration of the area is still underway and it is very l i el some mitigation measures are going to be requested if for no other reason than the sediments Dr . Kerfoot said that from Otis" standpoint , there may be definite advantages for them to resolve c rtoin land questions on the Priesley property and with regard to the storm discharges on the northern end. e l . Hanson asked who owned parcel B? Dr . l erfoot said that Quaker Associates was the owner (but that he thought he was mis- pronouncing i - pronouncing i t) . Dr . K rfoot said that they have identified all the owners in the northern portion. hears ter's Prime Property includes the wetland areas, the high ground area and two little lots on the 8 section . He said that he believes Mr. Marster's owns the middle section which cuts the Priestley property. Mr. Priestley has an agent at the present time who is willing to discuss prices. Sel . Thomas asked if his name i "Blass" . Dr. Kerfoot replied that it is a lady. He had not heard "Blass" before , but he may have changed They will pursue further to see if they can obtain letters from the other two propety owners and will discuss with the base actions for mitigations at the northern end and further definition relative to the hazardous waste investigation. Dr. Kerfoot said that they are seeking the Board of Selectmen's support for the continuing on-going monitoring program hich i for sampling as needed. They are also looking for the Board' response to the considerations of actions within the Ma hpee boarders particularly actions associated with the latitude regions. 1 . Determination as to what the Bd. of Selectmen feel relative to acquisition consideration at the northern end. 2. Would the Town of h ashpee desire to retain the first option ,i n the event that Otis Air Force Base is not interested in acquiring the parcels at the present time . He said that the Town of Falmouth has been appraised of this and he will send written comments with meetings with Otis an d that he welcomed members of the town who wish to attend. el . Hanson thanked Dr . Kerfoot and said that he would be hearing -5-
