Personnel Board Minutes <br /> Meeting of November 5, 1984 <br /> Page <br /> Interview for Building Inspector Position <br /> The Board interviewed Doug Boyd fo r the full-time position of Building Inspector~ <br /> Mr. Bova, who has served as Assistant Building Inspector for the past eleven months, <br /> was the only employee to apply for the position. Chairman Sullivan asked Mr. fiord <br /> to review a six-month evaluation done by Mr. Collins. Mr. Boyd commented that <br /> Mr. Collins had never shown hien the evaluation and that he would like to have the <br /> opportunity to discuss it: further with hint. After the interview process, Chairman <br /> Sullivan commented that the Board should have a one-year evaluation to review prior <br /> to raking their decision. The secretary advised the Board that Mr. Collins was asked <br /> to fill out the yearly evaluation form last .reek and that she would check with him as <br /> to when the Board would receive it. <br /> Acceptance of Minutes <br /> Ben Lo f chi e mored to accept the minutes of October 22 and October~ 29. Caroline Gilligan <br /> seconded. All were in favor. <br /> Reference was made to the minutes of October 15 by Mrs. Gilligan. regarding the waiving <br /> of psychological testing by Chairman Sullivan in a discussion helm with Chief Frere on <br /> the Deputy Chief position. Chairman Sullivan commented that the psychological testing, <br /> according to the P.A.P. , is at the option of the Board and should not be mandatory. <br /> The Board also reviewed a memo from the Executive Secretary outlining the Selectmen's <br /> intent that all aspects of the hiring process for the Deputy Chief position be conducted, <br /> prior to town meeting. <br /> - A <br /> After further~' discussion, the Board agreed to fallow the same guidelines as was required <br /> for the Sergeant 's promotio aEl process -.---- a written examination, oral interview, an up- <br /> to-date physical examination and psychological test.ing.,mar.be optional. The Board chose <br /> o waive the written composition portion of those requirements. Caroline Gilligan so <br /> moved. Bob Sullivan seconded. All were in favor., <br /> � F <br /> A <br /> Secretary to Attaguin Park Committee r � <br /> The Board voted to assign Ann McGee as secretary to the Attaq in Park Committee. Ann has <br /> previously worked for the town as Beard Secretary to the Charter Commission and is cur- <br /> rently secretary to the Library Advisory Committee. <br /> Candidates for Dispatcher Position <br /> The Board reviewed a memo from the Executive Secretary advising them of the Selectmen's <br /> intent to interview the three finalists for the full-time dispatcher position at their <br /> meeting of Wednesday, November~ 7. The Board designated Caroline Gilligan to represent <br /> them at that meeting_ <br /> Another- memo from the Executive Secretary advising the Beard of the appointment of four <br /> pant--tune di spat chers specis.i pollee officers was reviewed. Edward Hubbard, Judith Bingle. <br /> Richard Dawes and Beverly Corley were hired as per the recommendation of the Personnel <br /> Board <br /> Meeting With Bd. of Assessors <br /> The Assistant Assessor, Pari Davis, along with two members of the Board of Assessors. Bill <br /> Cl.endenin and Bolo DeLorey met with the Personnel Board to discuss the need to create the <br /> position of an Assessing Data Col-lector/Interpreter. <br />
