PERSONNEL BOARD MEETING <br /> MINUTES OF OCTOBER 14, 1992 PAGE 3 <br /> Memo from Shellfish Commission - re: Full-Time Position <br /> The Board received a copy of a memo dated October 2 to the Board of <br /> Selectmen from the Shellfish Commission relative to a request for <br /> funding to increase the hours of the Shellfish Constable to a full-time <br /> position. ( Note : Action was taken at town meeting approving monies to <br /> fund this position full-time ) . <br /> Town Counsel Research <br /> The Personnel Assistant advised the Board that she assisted Bob <br /> Whritenour in conducting a background check of three finalists for the <br /> position of Town Counsel . <br /> Council on Aging Director Position <br /> The Personnel Assistant advised Board members that the advertisement for <br /> a Council on Aging Director closed on October 13 . Applications are in <br /> the Personnel office and are available for review by Board members . <br /> Fire Department Promotional Test <br /> Fire Chief Ridgeway notified the Personnel Assistant that a written <br /> examination for the promotional position of Fire Lieutenant is scheduled <br /> for Monday, October 19, at 9 : 00 a.m. at the Doreen Grace Center, New <br /> Seabury. The assessment testing will be conducted on Wednesday, October <br /> 21 , at the same place. Personnel Board members wishing to attend are <br /> welcome . <br /> Floating Clerk Interviews <br /> The Personnel Board interviewed four candidates for the position of <br /> Floating Clerk : Jean Baggs, Jean Young, April Johnson and Kathleen <br /> Pond . Attached is a brief synopsis of each of the candidates education <br /> and experience . The Board felt that any of the candidates interviewed <br /> qualify for the position, however, agreed to recommend Jean Baggs be <br /> appointed to the position. <br /> Round Table <br /> Chairman Sousa introduced the concept of round table discussions .
