r. t w Board of Selectmen u1. Regular Meeting Wednesday, April 1, 1987 . Youth Commission - appointment. The Director of Barks and Recreation has recommended the appointment of James Rom elr e rer to fill one of two vacancies currently existing on this Board, Mr. Lawrence moved the appointment of James Rory el ever to the Mashpee Youth Commission and Mrs *. Thomas seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous . The appointment is in effect to June 30, 1990. 5. Water_District By-laws . Mrs . Th mas moved to authorize Town Counsel to perform legal services in the preparation of suggested bar-laws for the 1 ashpee Vater District. Nor. Lawrence seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous . 6. CaRe Cod Bios ital Aid Association -- Tag Dme. It was unanimously agreed to grant permission to Cape Cod Hospital Aid Association to hold a tag day fund-raising event on July 29, 1987 from 9: 00 A.1 . to 2: 00 . !. The Association will be instructed to notify the Police Department and Fere Department of their intentions prior to July 29. 7. Planning Board res ona.t on. Ricard S . Dubinu - mitted his resignation from the Pianniong Board citing potential conflict of interest due to other business ventures in a letter . dated March 18, 1987. This resignation would become effective on May 9 . 1987• 8. MashRee Arts Council. Marlene Joe 'submitted her resignation from the l ashp e Arts Council in a letter dated March 23 , 1987. Mrs . Thomas roved to accept this resignation and Mr. Lawrence seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous. WATER COMMISSION: Chairwoman Thomas referred to her memorandum of larch 30, 1987 concerning Ashumet proposed rules and regulations to establish guidelines for water customers to tie in to the system. Mrs a Thomas said that these have been received today. A number of telephone calls have been received from residents in the Triton Circle and Horseshoe Bend Way area inquiring if they can tie in to the apparatus that is already there , As of this meeting, the Interim Commissioners had not had an opportunity to review these proposed guidelines . Mr. awrence expressed that the Interim Commissioners continue to act on matters concerning various pater situations until. the District Water Commissioners commence addressing these issues . • Chairwoman Thomas referred to her memorandum of March 26, 1987 with regard to Asher's Path Annual Town Meeting Article . she emphasized that this is a liability situation and is the Town's res- pons iility, she asked that the Board move and support the funding of this article whic involves a Propos oti on exemDti n on ballo�, The estimated a d cost would include the development of the well, design of the system- , construction supervision and the actual construction.
