i <br /> S <br /> } <br /> Board of Selectmen Page Pour <br /> Regular Meeting <br /> Wednesday, June 17 , 1987 <br /> the operational control of the Mashpee Archives Building to the <br /> Historical Commission and that for budgetary purposes , the building <br /> will be considered a Town Hall Annex. Selectman Lawrence seconded <br /> the motion. The vote was unanimous . <br /> 5. Acting Fire Chief William Chase. In a letter dated <br /> June 12, 1987 , Acting Chief Chase requested a transfer .of money . <br /> from the Reserve Account into the Firefighter's Nage Account in <br /> the amount of $3 ,900',-00.' An unforeseen expense in the -amount o <br /> ,800. 00, is due t member being n extended injury leave and <br /> ,100.00, would be applied to shift coverage of the paramedics <br /> enabling the Town to comply with 105 Code Of Massachusetts Regu- <br /> lations 170.999. Cor plia.nce with the Code is required to maintain <br /> the Town's Advanced life Support :Ambulance License . Acting Chef <br /> Chase stated that it is imperative to have this money just for the <br /> remainder f the current Fiscal e The $1,100,00, was a mi -- <br /> ca lculation and should have been included in the budget for the <br /> Fiscal Year. The Chairwoman pointed out that this matter is under <br /> the authority of the Finance Committee and not the Board of Select <br /> men. Acting Chief Chase also brought. to 13"-ght an-error in budget <br /> calculations for Fiscal. Year 1988 with Lieutenant Hamblin 'sta■ting. <br /> that $23t976o77* appears to be "missing" . This will be discussed <br /> immediately with the Finance Committee and Mr. Lawrence . (Note : <br /> Acting Chief Chase met with a. majority of the Finance -Committee .this <br /> evening. The Chairman of the Finance Committee reported that the <br /> Committee did approve a transfer of money from the Reserve Account <br /> into the Firefighter's wage Account in the amount of $39900e00* <br /> Any and all transfers from the Legal and Engineering Account are <br /> o <br /> r wllle re *ected. )a <br /> 6. water Quality Review Committee - articles for July <br /> 1 ecial Town Meeting, Town Planner, Thomas Fudala, presented <br /> these two articles for the Nater Quality Review Committee . Nor. <br /> Sexton and other members of the Nater Quality Review Committee were <br /> present. Mro Fuda■la, stated that one article has to do with -the <br /> funding Of an acquisition of a saete which has proven to have a, <br /> Potential of at least two million gallons of water, The -other <br /> articl-e to- construct then-Summerwd/Asher+.'s Path- w ,t :rx ' .y :t.e a- <br /> i and the :.,T- ,weld ssoia` d :"�i :y��` tr - articles are contingent <br /> on an override vote of Proposition 22 , It was unanimously agreed <br /> to include these two articles on the warrant for the Special Town <br /> Meeting to be held on July 27, 1987, as submitted, <br /> 7. Finaance Committee. The Chairman of the Finance Committee <br /> was present to request approval of the Board of Selectmen of a draft <br /> letter proposed to be- sent- to residents of the Town prior to the <br /> special .election to be held on June 30,, 1987, He said that many, <br /> many residents vory concerned about many issues that are not only <br /> extremely confusing but1s 'very costly and that this uninformed <br /> concern may weigh against the tax override .
