Board of Selectmen Page Six Regular Meeting Wednesday, June 17 , 197 committee submitted a. memorandum dum dated June 17, 1987 summarizing proceedings and recommendations as a result of their meeting held on June 15, 1987a Lew Schwartz , mem er of the C ommitte p. ' was pre- sent to discuss the contents of this r emorandum.a d stated that it was the opinion of those members ers of the Commission whose names are affixed as signatories , that the services of Dr. Aubrey - Aubrey Consulting, Inc , should be terminated, that a. qualified engineer e hired and bids put out as quickly as possible. After further discuss.00n, Selectman Lawrence moved that the Town vote to accept the bid of Hydro-Dredge Corporation of New Bedford , Massachusetts to furnish all labor and materials required for channel improve- ment and beach nourishment at Pop onesset Bay in accordance with the specifications of the Town and the bid of Hydro-Dredge Corpora- tion received on June 1 , 1987 with said contract award to be con- tingent upon the receipt Of all federal, state and local permit not later than July 15, 1987; further, move to authorize the Chairman of the Board Of Selectmen to execute a. contract with Hydro-Dredge corporation; and further, rove that the Chairman of the Board of Selectmen execute a contract with an engineering firm for pre and post dredge surveys with said contract to be negotiated by the act hoc Popponesset Bay Dredging Committee using funds from the Popponesse-t Bay Dredging Account and/or a donation account. Mr. Carter seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous . As dis- cussed is-cussed this meeting and per agreement, the Popponesset ]day Dredging Committee members shall be Chester Koli .sky,, Lew Schwartz and Greg smith or their nominees . Andrew Gottlieb shall be the lia.s on. {between the Committee and the Board of Selectmen. A meeting will be head on Thursday, June 1 , 1957 with Assistant Town Counsel to discuss the rde 's contract. 5• Appointments - Harbormaster De ar mento Harbormaster Chester Koblinsky submitted a list of persons recommended for re- appointment or appointment, Andrew Gottlieb is recommended for appointment as an Assistant Harbormaster in place of Peter s l nius . Mr. Gottlieb stepped down from the Board of selectmen during - dis- cussion uring - disicussion and Grote on this matter. Mr. Lawrence moved that the Board f Selectmen appointor reappoint persons recommended by the Harbor- master aster as submitted in his .,memorandum dated June 12, 19$7 and that Andrew Gottlieb be appointed as Assistant Harbormaster in place of Peter S alenis , such appointments to become effective July- 1, 1987.
