I Board of Selectmen Page Seven Regular Meeting Wednesday, Jure 17 , 198' The Executive Secretary, referring to the vacancy on the County Charter Commission caused by the resignation of Mari' Le Imre , 'Town of Mashpee Repre entative , stated that Dr. Elizabeth Petti has agreed to serve' on the' Commission as requested. The Board of Selectmen una imou ly' approved the appointment of Dr. Pettz to the County Charter Commission, 6. Wampanoag Indian Tribal Council re : Pow Wow, Joan . Tavares , President of the Council, has submitted a Special Events Application packet , complete with departmental signatures for the Annual Pow W&T scheduled to be held on July 3 . 4. and 5 t 1987. Mr a Lawrence moved that the Application for the Pow wow be approved as submitted* Mrs Carter seconded the motion. The vote was unaxiie - mousib NEW BUSINESS : 1. water Commissioners - res use of Archives Build�n basement. This matter was discussed and resolved during the meeting with the Historical Commission, Item 4 of Appointments and Hearings * The basement of the Archives Building is not available for public meetings , 2. Animal Control officer - radio bid. Mr. Lawrence moved that the Board of Selectmen accept the bid of Motorola Communications and Electronics , Inc . to provide a, portable and mobile radio for the Animal Control Officer at a. cost of $59779*00a This expenditure was authorized by the Annual Town Meeting and funds were appropriated at that time.' Mr.' Caster seconded the motion.... The vote was unanimous 3. Gasoline bids . In his memorandum dated June 16 , 19879 the Executive Secretary reported on the two bids received for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1987 and recommended the acceptance of the bid of Mike 's Service Station on -Route 130 for reasons out- lined in the memorandum... Mr. Lawrence mored to accept the bid of Mike 's Service Station for the provision Of gasoline and diesel - fuel iesel - fue1 to Town vehicles . Mr. Carter seconded the motion, The vote was unanimous . -. DPW bids . The Director of Public works submitted his recommendations for bids ,ur e'red 1. 2, 39 4t 6. and 14 in his memorandum dated Tune 16 , 1987 -axed requested that the Board of Selectmen accept these recommendations for each classification. Mr. Gottlieb moved that the Board accept the recommendations for bids 1, 2: 3, 4p 6, and 14 as requested and recommended by the Director of the Department. Mr. Lawrence seconded the motion. The Grote was unanimous . 5. Sandcastle, Mashpee , Inc. Patrick M. Butler, attorney for Sandcastle Mashpe e , Inc . requested in a letter dated Tune 9, 1987 L
