Sea Mist beach shuttle Wo .ation,, wondy Rubin, Director Of Parks Recreation Department , and Robert Horton, Manager of Sea. Mist , were present to discuss various aspects of the beach shuttle to South Cape Beach8' The matter was previously discussed in depth at a. meeting of the Board of Selectmen held on July 27 , 1987 at which meeting lir. Horton was not present and did not have an oppor- tunity to provide input. After reviewing the situation at length, it was agreed by members of the Board, Ms . Rubin, and Mr. Horton that Sea. Dist will investigate the possibility of utilizing the Mate Beach parking lot to discharge and pick up passengers and will report back to the Bawd of Selectmen. Use of the State parking lot would alleviate the potentially dangerous situation that now exists . other .issues such as the purchase of beach stickers and impact' on beach staff and services will be.41pursued in an effort to core to sans-- factory remedies . Ms . Rubin will discuss these matters with the South Cape Beach Advisory Committee at its meeting to be held next week. OID BUSINESS : 0 1. Sewer Committee members * Mr. Murphy explained that at the Special Town Meeting held on July 27 , 1987 , the Townspe-ople authorized the formation of a Sewer Committee and that Committee is to be comprised of a member of the Board of Selectmen, a designee of the Board of Selectmen, and a. member of the Board of Health who shall be chosen by a majority vote of the Board of Health, After discussion, Mr. Carter moved that the Board of Selectmen appoint Andrew Gottlieb, member of the Board of Selectmen, and George Costa, member of the Board of Health, as members of the Sewer Committee , Mr. Lawrence seconded the motion,, The vote was unanimous . A designee of the Board of Selectmen will be appointed at a later date . 2. Mass . Muni c i a.I Association Amua l lie e tin Mr. Murphy submitted a. memorandum dated July 20, 1987 on this matter and noted that' the Annual Meeting and Trade Show will be held on November 6 - a.t the Boston Marriott Hotel at Copley Place. lir. Caster will attend. Mrs . Thomas and Messrs . Hanson and -Lawrence will inform Mr. Murphy of their attendance plans shortly, Mr.' Gottlieb will atten d and was appointed the voting designee for the Board of Selectmen. 3. Personnel Beard re : Fire Chief interviews . In a memorandum dated July 22, 1987 , the Personnel Board informed the Board of selectmen that it is i the_ process of scheduling a. date for interviews for the Fire Chief position. It was unanimously agreed that Selectman Hanson will sit in on the interviews
