Mr. Carter seconded the <br /> motion. Mrs . Thomas voted in favor. <br /> 7. Special Events l i ion. The l a.s hpe e Lioness Club <br /> and the Friends of Council on Aging have made application- to hold <br /> Fund Fair II on August 29 , 1987 from 9 : 00 A. M. to 2: 00 P. M. The <br /> Board of Health and the Building Inspector have indicated approval <br /> of this event. lir. Gottlieb moved that the Mashpee Lioness Club <br /> and the Friends of Council on Aging be granted a permit for Fuad <br /> Fair II as requested. Mr. Lawrence seconded the motion. Mrs . <br /> . <br /> Thomas abstained from voting. Mr. Carter voted in favor of this <br /> action O <br /> . A short form Special E. encs Application was submitted <br /> for discussion and ae'tion. Mr. Carter moved that the Board of <br /> Selectmen adopt the Special Events Application short from. Mr. <br /> Lawrence seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous <br /> 9 . Communication from the Division of Fisheries and to e <br /> re-, restoration plan for Po onesset 4each. A letter dated <br /> August 17, 1987 from Louis Hambly,, District Supervisor for the <br /> Division, enclosed a copy of the Restoration Plan for Popponesset <br /> Beach prepared by the USDA Soil Conservation Service and Coastal <br /> Zone Management. r. Har bl r made further recommendations including <br /> that the sum of $5, oo. be withe ld from the final payment to Hydro <br /> Dredge Corporation and that Hydro-Dredge Corporation be responsible <br /> for, and guarantee the good health of all revegeta.tion stock for <br /> one year from the time of- planting. After discussion', mr,, Carter <br /> recommended that a. copy of this letter and attachments be sent to <br /> Hydro-Dredge Corporation asking for their plan to restore and re- <br /> constructing this area, of bank and also that a copy be sent to the <br /> a tepee Conservation Commission, <br /> ission, <br /> 10. 'List- of persons to move articlesat the Special Town <br /> Meeting- o August l 1987 The list was unanimous ly approved as <br /> presented. <br /> 11. Great Oak load -_. kiM Plans . Memorandum dated <br /> August 21, 198 ,...from Administrative Assistant Joyce Mason states <br /> that Town Counsel advises the Board that plans prepared by Charles <br /> Rowley were not suitable for recording with the Land Court. Mr a, <br /> Reardon requested that the Board authorize lir. Rowley to revise the <br /> plans . After discussion, the Beard of selectmen unanimously agreed <br /> to request that Town Counsel be more precise concerning particulars <br /> in his request to the Board. <br /> 12. Popponesset Dredging Project, r. Carter suggested <br /> that an extension of three Weeks will probably be necessary for <br /> Hydro-Dredge Corporation and said , "I do not think they will be <br /> finished within a, week". This item will be 'placed on the agenda <br /> for the meeting scheduled to be held on August 2 , 1987. <br />
