Board of Selectmen's Mt g. <br /> Minutes of August 31 , 1987 <br /> el # Thomas asked who will hold the open forum? Sel . Carter replied <br /> that the Farb and Recreation Adv , Committee would be . Wendy Rubin <br /> asked ed she could be put on the agenda to discuss the Program Director <br /> position . After additional discussion, Sel . Thomas advised Wendy <br /> that a decision would not be made at this meeting. <br /> 4:30 P. . - BIROD ASSOCIATION <br /> Al Orlando met with the Board representing the Briarwood Association. <br /> He told the Board that they submitted a letter which he reviewed at <br /> the meeting. <br /> Mr . Orlando told the Board that when Briarwood was established the <br /> road was put in substantially. They spent over $6,000 last year on <br /> the roads. He said that the DPW had helped out in the past , which <br /> was all stopper# He said that they want the town to take over the <br /> roads now. He commented that once the heavy equipment cores in to <br /> put in the pipeline, the roads won"t be able to tale it . The <br /> riarood road project could be ars example for everyone in the town . <br /> The new water department will core in and be doing legal world to lay <br /> out the roads and the roads could be converted at that time . <br /> Mr . Orlando said that they have a petition circulating. He referred <br /> to the town zoning by-law 4. 10 . and asked the Selectmen to look over <br /> the road situation and to ask the D.P.W. Director if the roads would <br /> holds <br /> With re4erence referenceto the engineer drawings, Mr . Orlando said that the <br /> roars have been engineered and that Mr. Virgilio said that Mr . Fuu l a <br /> has a copy. <br /> el . Gotlelb reviewed the by-law. el # Carter said that it would <br /> till have to go through town meeting. The Executive Secretary said <br /> that there is no question that it could be done . He said that they <br /> would need a road-taking ng plan and suggested that in the future a road <br /> taking plan and an easement plan for a water line should be done at <br /> the same time . <br /> Leslie-Ann Morse said that the water district roul d be there. In the <br /> future, all taking plans would be done and easement plans would b <br /> done by the district . e l . Thomas saidthat she understood that <br /> everyone got together and they thought everything would be done b <br /> September 30. Leslie commented that the Registry of Deeds is closed <br /> all this week and next week which is a major gl fi che. She said that <br /> she thought the engineering plans should do it , but she hadn' t seen <br /> them so she didn' t know. She said that she thought Patrick Johnson <br /> has them the consultant for .E.fig; . Sel . Lawrence asked <br /> if Mr. Orlando o was talking about the engineering plans which <br /> were done in the earl `60s. her. Orlando replied that he <br /> could only go by what the DPW Director says is sufficient . <br /> He said that they have the original plans and they there has <br /> been all kinds of surveying in Br i arwood for the water l i ries. <br />
