Johnson of Dennis-Yarmouth who has indicated that the group i s willingto wait for 1ashpee's vote by September I and they ill not require the two-thirds vote . Mr . Tinsley told the Board originally the group had voted at its meeting frig of July 29 to have final de i ion of all members by August 12. When the Steering Committee ret last week, Mashpee had still not come in and Don Johnson called Marilyn Farren that day to encourage Mashpee to tale a vote to participate . The Executive Secretary concurred to recommend the Board go with the Joint Agreement . Town Counsel said that he reviewed the agreement and has no probl erg w i th i t . el . Gotleib moved that the town join Cape Cod Muncipal Health Group. e l . Hanson seconded. Vote was unanimous. Mr. Tin la asked that the Board choose an alternative member to the group according to the by-laws. The Board asked Anne Shaw, Town Treasurer . Anne replied that she would. Sel . Carter roved that Anne Shaw serve as an alternate member for the Cape Cod Municipal Health Group . Sel . Hanson seconded. Vot was unanimous. Recreation Programs The Executive Secretary told the Board that Wendy Rubin has submitted her recommendations for the Fall Recreational Programst Joe Murphy said that he has discussed these recommendations with both Wendy Rubin and Denise Watson , the Chairman of the Farb and Recreation Advisory Committee and it was felt that the Board of Selectmen a Park Commissioners should be making specific policy decisions with regarding programs. Wendy Rubin told the Beard that the committee met two weeks ago to discuss fall programming and future programming with budget cuts and the recommendation of not appointing a new person as Program Director . She said that they were very concerned about that and they do not want to be responsible for any program activitieshich do not have proper supervision ; therefore , they would l i e to recommend that no town sponsored recreational activites happen until the Program Director po ition is filled. She said that they wanted to re- emphasize e- empha ize a request to reconsider reappointing a Program Director a soon as possible . el . gotl e i b asked what programs they rare last Fall Wendy told the Board that the main program was the Youth Soccer Program which i town sponsored and mostly run by volunteers. She said that they held workshops, adult co-ed volleyball , they tried to start up mems basketball . Sel , Carter said that he had spoke with Wendy this morning and his understanding that a big concern of the parents i the soccer program. Sel . Carter said that it is his feeling that
