i <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> OCTOBER 26, 1987 - H2gLilar Session <br /> NEW BUSINESS continue� <br /> Selectmen agreed a proposal should be put together for the Selectmen to review. <br /> It was requested that Mr, Murphy put something together for the Board. <br /> Selectman Lawrence moved to not allow the full-time temporary position in the Board <br /> of Health to participate in the medical insurance program. Selectman Hanson <br /> seconded the motion. Selectman Thomas obstained. <br /> APP INTME TS . HEARINGS. <br /> 3: 15 Town Counsel was in for his monthly meeting with the Board. <br /> Town Counsel made note that -Ernie Virgilio's assistance and cooperation <br /> while reviewing the -sites he is about to mention is worthy of mention. <br /> Mr. Reardon advised the Board that Natalie Freedman requested the Town <br /> release the slope easement placed on.her father's property in the 1970's. <br /> Mr. Reardon pointed out theso-called slope -easement was never record d. <br /> The Board of. Assessor s were notified of the town -meeting action and their <br /> records were modified. Mr. Reardon will send a- letter to Ms. Freedman <br /> advising her of his findings- and that the Town will release the -so-called <br /> slope easement. <br /> I <br /> Mr. Reardon discussed the claim by Mr. Kennedy. He stated the Town has <br /> an obligation -to correct. this problem. As the road does go through his <br />' prepert . .Mr. Reardon advised the Board that he would be discussing the <br /> road layout with the South Cape, Beach Advisory. ormnittee at their next <br /> meeting. <br /> Mr. Reardon also advised he has reviewed the site where the Corps of <br /> Engineers is- requesting an easement from the. Conservation- ommiss.ion <br /> for drainage purposes off of Back Road. The Corp of Engineers have been <br /> advised to stop any .further action as per the request of Mr.- Watson. <br /> Selectman Hanson asked for the statins of the ..ease between Mr. Burtis <br /> and the Town. <br /> Selectman Thomas advised it -was in .the "Opinion of Counsel" folder. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> ESS <br /> . Selectman Lawrence moved to approve the request of the Personnel Board <br /> for legal services, Selectman Hansom seconded. All present . ere in <br /> favor. <br /> . Selectmen .reviewed a communication.from- the Seconsett Island Association <br /> Waterways Committee, Objecting to eight moorings which were commercial <br /> moorings and were- transferred to individual owners. <br />
