AL <br /> i <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES "` REGULAR SESSION <br /> MONDAY t MARCH 27, 1989 <br /> PAGE TWO <br /> APPOINTMENTS HEADINGS <br /> i #2 (Cont, ) <br /> Mr, Gottlieb apologized to the Commission, stating that he <br /> thought that the modified approach to this project would <br /> have satisfied the concerns raised, Mr, Gottlieb stated <br /> that in the future, a system of earlier notice on these <br /> types of projects be in place. Also, better communication <br /> between the Historical Commission, the Board of Selectmen <br /> and the Department of Public Works is necessary. <br /> i <br /> 3 . Mr. Frederick Peters attended to discuss plans of the <br /> Veterans of Foreign Wars Post relative to the location f <br /> the Post headquarters , <br /> It was agreed that Mr. Carter and Mr. Gottlieb would work i <br /> i <br /> together draw up a lease, have Mr. Murphy review it and � <br /> then forward it on to the Post. This issue will likely be <br /> i <br /> on a Special Town Meeting warrant for early fall , <br /> Richard Shaughnessy of the Town Hall Study Committee <br /> attended to give the Board e report of the Committee. <br /> He steed that the results of the ballot mailing were as <br /> follows; the 12 acre site got 3 votes, the Collins (Hotel <br /> t aquin site) got 71 votes , M shpee Commons got 168 votes <br /> and the Police and Fire location received 589 rotes. <br /> Mr. Carter moved to des i gne the Town Fla l l Study <br /> Committee as the Town Hall Design Selection Committee. <br /> Mr. Lawrence seconded the motion and Mrs. Jacobson was in <br /> favor. Mr. Gottlieb was not present for the vote and Mr. <br /> Hanson ebsteined. <br /> The Board met with the Finance Committee to further <br /> discuss the FY-90 budget. <br />
