i <br /> r <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES - REGULAR SESSION <br /> MON AY9 APRIL 10, 1989 <br /> PAGE THREE <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> 2 (Cont. <br /> The Board voted unanimously to accept the recommendations <br /> of the Shellfish Commission regarding proposed designations <br /> of the following areas a "Fara i l y-She l 1 f i sh-Perm i t-- n l yft <br /> areas and that these areas remain des i nated as such until <br /> further notice. <br /> In Popponesset Bay: <br /> 11 The area commonly called "Popp ne set Spit" ; this <br /> area being the waters and flats enclosed by a <br /> line drawn from the grey sign t the west end of <br /> the spit out to the edge of the boat channel , <br /> then in an easterly direction along the edge of <br /> the boat channel to the inside tip of the Spit, <br /> thea in a westerly direction back , a l on the Mean <br /> High Water Mark to the original point at the grey <br /> sign. <br /> i <br /> The waters and flats enclosed by a line drawn <br /> from a point at the Mean Hirth Water Mark at the <br /> base of the pier at 36 Popponesset Island Road, <br /> out to the offshore end of that structure, then <br /> in a southerly direction to the offshore end of <br /> the pier structure at 471 Popponesset Island <br /> Road, then back along that structure to its base <br /> at the Mean High Water Mark, then in a northerly <br /> direction back to the starting point at the <br /> structure at 36 Popponesset Island Road. <br /> 3. The waters and flats enclosed by a line drawn <br /> from the gest end of the northern side of the <br /> Popponesset Island Bridge in a northerly <br /> direction along the Mean High water mark around <br /> to a sign placed on the beach in front of 199 <br /> Daniels Island Road, then in a line drawn <br /> straight across the water to a sign placed on the <br /> tip of Popponesset Island, then in a southerly <br /> direction along the Mean High water Marc to the <br /> east end of the Popponesset Island Bridge, then <br /> along the northern side of the bridge back to the <br /> original point. <br />
