How do you single out the PAP people's <br /> The equity is important states Mr. Harrington, It would create <br /> more problems for the non-union people not opposed to taring to <br /> freeze wages. The labor contracts with the DPW and clerical are <br /> settled at 4%v Kevin Harrington is trying to be consistant and Feels <br /> a morale problem may develop with PAS ems to ree' s. <br /> Selectman Lawrence has suggested to try to establish a level and <br /> work it out with the unions, Selectman Gottlieb has recommended to <br /> hold as close to level as possible and re-look at this in a fever weeks. <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to re-examine the <br /> increase in two weeks at the next schedule iomeeting. To have the <br /> Finance Committee and Personnel Board review this concern and remain <br /> with the objective to keep the cost of living increases as close to <br /> zero as possible. The motion was seconded by Selectman Lawrence. The <br /> vote is unanimous with the Board. Kevin Harrington will appeal to <br /> the unions, <br /> Article : This article coincides with Article 3. <br /> Article : Dealing with longevity, this proposes an increase <br /> of $50- 00 per catagory level. <br /> Selectman Lawrence is opposed to any increase at this time, he <br /> has suggested to do away with this. Selectman Jacobson agrees. <br /> The Finance Committee i s opposed to the increase. <br /> The motion was -made by Selectman Danson to delete Article 5 From <br /> the draft warrant. . Selectman Gottlieb seconded the motion. The vote <br /> is unanimous with the Board. <br /> Article 6: This involves the betterment cost involved in borrow- <br /> ing money, Kevin Harrington has recommended donations for the <br /> borrowing costs as dial for the repair, <br /> `own Counsel has carefully articulated with Joel Zeiger that the <br /> Town will not support this unless the resid-eats will come up with the <br /> seed money. A sufficient amount of money would have to be recieved so <br /> it would not cost the taxpayers the interest in bonding the first <br /> year. He has recommended I . Zeiger will consult Peninsula Council for the advancement of <br /> possible funds. <br /> Selectman Hanson has recommended not to accept this if there is <br /> no layout or definition.
