lift {BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 7 <br /> MINUTES <br /> MAY0-`!MARCH 49 1991 <br /> E01 <br /> Article 6: The, motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to <br /> approve the article contingent upon the availability of money other <br /> than the Town. This is a clear position of the Board. The motion <br /> was seconded by Selectman Hanson. The vote is unanimous with the <br /> Board. <br /> Article s Jim Vaccaro asked if this loan is to be payed back <br /> at the end of the phase or cycle? Kevin Harrington reports there <br /> is no definitive word and you would not complete the phase in one <br /> year. <br /> Article 9s The sure of money is not yet known for the additional <br /> engineering services by Weston and Sampson associated with the <br /> groundwater contamination. It is the Town' s responsibility and was <br /> mandated by the Department of Environmental Protection to address the <br /> plume of contaminants* This is recommended to hold for the figure, <br /> The will be a small amount of rhoney in the contingency fund if the <br /> sum does not exceed $ reports Jinn Vaccaro. <br /> Article <br /> accaro. <br /> Article 12 The Selectmen agree with Article 12 to transfer <br /> money from the landfill construction and Middle School roof account. <br /> Article 13: Kevin Harrington has recommended this be transferred <br /> to a Special Town Meeting since there i s an unpaid bill o $5200,o <br /> The Board agrees. <br /> Article 15: The budget for the Cape Cod Regional nal Technical High <br /> School is approximately $229,000 which is approximately ately $ <br /> less than last year reports lir. Harrington. <br /> Article 17: The motion was made by Selectman Jacobson to delete <br /> this article from the draft warrant, The motion was seconded by <br /> Selectman Gottlieb, The vote 'is unanimous with the Board. <br /> .Article 18 : The Board has decided to hold this article for <br /> further discussion. It is the tentative recommendation from the <br /> Finance Committee to recommend $50, 000 now and $100, 00 next year for <br /> the re ,,valuation process. If not, possibly $25, 000 would come From <br /> a Special Town Meeting, <br /> Article 19: There is no recommendation t this time. The Board <br /> and Finance Committee are waiting for the upgrading and reclassification <br /> from Jane Stoc ridge' s report. <br /> Article 20t This article creates a, new position. The Board <br /> agrees it makes sense with the money tentatively yet aside in re,- <br /> structuring the department, It was noted by Selectman Manson that <br /> this would require Town Meeting to request a, change. <br /> Article 21: The Board has decided to hold this article pending <br /> on the PAP recommendation and union contracts. This would rake the <br /> 'down Clerk' s salary commensurate with the other employee' % increase. <br /> Article 22/23: Both articles are submitted by the Fire Department. <br /> Selectman Hanson states the articles are not specific or related as <br /> to what the money is to be used for, Article 22 is for hazardous <br /> waste and article 23 is for paramedic training. <br /> The motion was-iimade by Selectman Gottlieb for the articles to be <br /> funded by the omnibus budget of the Fire Department. The motion was <br /> seconded by Selectman Carter. The vote is unanimous with the Board. <br />
