He will make the recommendation for all <br /> of the department heads to expidite matters. <br /> If a department head is not voted, they should be able to meet <br /> with the Board in Executive Session for discussion states Selectman <br /> Caffyn. Anyone not recommended will have an extension for 30 days <br /> states Selectman Hanson. <br /> It is the consensus of the Board to accept the recommendations <br /> from the Executive Secretary on the Department Heads. <br /> Animal Control Officer: Recommendation by the Executive Secretary- <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the reappoint- <br /> ment of June Daley. The motion was secoxided by Selectman Caffyn. <br /> The vote of the Board is unanimous. The vote is 5-0. <br /> Attaquin Park Committees The two additions on the committee <br /> include Cheryl Taylor and Michelle Brum. The motion was made by <br /> Selectman Gottlieb to approve the Attaquin Park Committee appoint- <br /> ment. The motion was seconded by Selectman Caffyn. The vote is <br /> unanimous. The vote is 5-0. <br /> Barnstable County Advisory Board and County Expenditures: <br /> It is the consensus of the Board for the reappointment of its committee <br /> members. <br /> Building Inspectors This is an appointment made by the Executive <br /> Secretary and has been approved. <br /> Cape Cod Commission: The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb <br /> to reappoint Carol Jacobson to the position and continue to find an <br /> alternate. Selectman Jacobson made note she is willing to return. It <br /> does not operate with an alternate. She suggests to make the appointment <br /> through 1993. <br /> Selectman Lawrence is opposed. He feels a Selectman should not <br /> sit on that board for that long;a period of time. He suggests to make <br /> the appointment on an interim basis until we can select another. Select- <br /> man Jacobson is not willing to take the position on an interim basis. <br /> It involves a great deal of time. <br /> Selectman Hanson suggests to leave this as a vacancy and advertise <br /> for the position. He suggests Mr. Harrington, advertise immediately to <br /> fill the seat. <br /> Selectman Gottlieb has withdrawn his motion since it is the consensus <br /> of three members to advertise for the position. <br /> Conservation Commission: Gertrude Simmons and Harry Desrosiers <br /> were appointed last year to this commission. Two letters of interest <br /> have been recieved.
