NEW BUSINESS: Part-Time Administrative Clerk-Police Department The motion was rade by Selectman Gottlieb to appoint Mary Comet' as part-time administrative clerk for the Folios Deaprtment. The motion was seconded by Selectman Hanson. The vote is unanimous with the Board. The vote is 5-0. Notice of Retirement from Vincent - es The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to accept theretire- ment of Vincent Lppez effective July 31t 1991. He has recommended to prepare a, certificate of appreciation and for Mr. Harrington to Fill the position. The motion was seconded by Selectman Cafflyn, The vote is unanimous, The vote is 5-0,, Certification of Betterments for Bria.rwood As reported by Counsel, this is the last step in the process of the betterment. The roadwork has been done, this is the exact amount of the betterment and' the lot holders of record has been followed through* The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve and execute the Bria.rwoodetterents. The motion was seconded by Selectman Hanson. The vote is unanimous, The vote is 5-o• Letter of Concern res John' s Pond: recent letter of concern from Michelle Mckenzie addressed the water in John' s Pond, Selectman Jacobson noted the Board of Select- men have been addressing this concern and intend to continue to further persue the matter* The Selectmen have been in contact with the Environmental Affairs Tice and the Board of Health is testing the water in con j Ofection with the County Board of Health Depprtment. Selectman Gottlieb has also recieved letters of concern. He has recommended to send letters to the area residents* Selectman Hanson has also suggested to include addresses of agencies to write to to address further concerns. The latest testing of John' s Pond involves no volitule organic compounds have been detected& The Board of Health will continue to do monthly testing of the water. The testing was done from the bathing beaches themselves. Some trace compounds resulted from the outboard engine used to get to the testing site.
