We nearer really had anything for the <br /> kids, she applauds the people who have worked towards a. rec building. <br /> Selectman Jacobson made note she can' t support anything Town <br /> Counsel says is illegal to do, <br /> Mr. Randall% rade note there are clot of valid points with the <br /> misunderstanding of a structure of a deal. This is a. proposal to <br /> make the deal go forward. It is in our best interest to persue, <br /> The need for a rec. center is apparent states Dean Driscoll <br /> Ile supports it fully with the five year lease plan. She recommends <br /> the Board e pidite the motion on the floor and persue as a multi <br /> purpose rec building for the older and younger residents, (Applaud) <br /> Selectman. Lawrence made the motion to reopen negotiations with <br /> Field' s Point over the Queen of All Saints Chapel property to see <br /> if we could possibly come up with ars understanding whereby we can. <br /> have a rec center for the' kids without waiting fire yews. Also for <br /> the Chairman of the Board of Selectmen to appoint the ,people on the <br /> negotiating team and for Mr. Carter and lir. Hanson not to be on that <br /> committee. The motion was secnnded by Selectman Hanson, The vote . <br /> is 2-2 with Selectman Jacobson and Selectman C f.fyn in opposition. <br /> There is no action on this Grote. <br /> 8 : 50 P.M. school Committee re: Budget Analysis: <br /> -Eli abeth Petti met before the Board to discuss the response <br /> of the school Committee to the- udget analysis performed by I icha.el <br /> i coria, She made note the scool. Committee net on August 26, 1991 <br /> to answer response to the audit, <br /> Mr. Harrington asked about number five and the matters of <br /> curriculum This is the number of computed discs, There is not <br /> much control that goes along with curriculum states Dr. Petti, This <br /> is related to Nor. icoria' s point number :eight, <br /> Selectman Jacobson asks if it was a unanimous decision for the <br /> School Committee to send a letter? Dr. Petti replied it was. <br /> Selectman Jacobson made note that there has been alot of discussion <br /> on this issue and she hopes it will be put to rest and that it doesn' t <br /> happen again. <br /> 8: 55 P.m. OTD BUSINESS: <br /> Appointment ent of the C ae Cod Commission Representative: <br /> I would like to bring up tonight the appointments of the member <br /> of the Cape Cod Commission and I would make a motion that. . . (Lawrence) <br /> I believe that we discussed this at the end of the meeting last <br /> week states Selectman Jacobson. Andy requested since he didn' t realize <br /> that he warn' t going to be here that he be allowed to be here for the <br /> appointment.
