He currently has a, standard drivers 'license, Mr. Landers-Cauley has dealt with people on a regular basis and feels with this positin, you are a servant to the community to respond the 'best way you can, When asked of. running an entire depart- ment with control of the direction on a. daily basis, Mr. Landers-Ca.uley responded he has -scheduled assignments in advance so if work would run out, there is always another task- to preform, On the maintenance aspec.t and the Town' s reed, Mr. Landers-Cauley will do what he has to do, Maintenance is astrong' point and he would like to contribute what he can. Taylors background includes thirteen years of management enit experience including a degree. in Civil Engineering for sixt en years* He has experience with a number of muni c ip lities. He -c-an prepare engineering documents which make it easier to review: = Mr. Taylor is a resident of Mashpee 'and is enthusiastic of the position. He has experience with supervision in different calipers such as hiring and interviewing at different , lovels, Mr. Taylor made note tris- boots are in the car and is- willing to work on hand on a. regular' basis If required. He is .familiar° with environment concerns and woul-d contact conservation officials as concerns arise. Mr. Taylor has highway planning experience with a, section of the Mass Pike in the Berkshires, He noted .a.lot of proble s with -roadwork in Town i the subsurface material. The material is not adequately supporting the asphalt. He is familiar with different blends of sub- grade material and costs and prefor anoe of related material, Mr. Taylor has worked with public relations. He -has Worked for the Town of Truro and the media. He is comfortable in a municipal setting and has experi,eno e with design specifications and- budget development on a regular ba.si s. Mr. Taylor i s not uncomfortable to juggle three -things at a. time, He has supervisory experience running twenty-eight people on pproxir a - ely one hundred ongoing pro f ects, When asked- of the hands on job and. the event of a. snowstorm and how he would handle a difficult employee, Mr. Taylor responded where there i s- a difficult situation,... there is usually a reason, if it is exhaustion, it is -better to recharge the batteries and use another employee in an - emergency situation, 06 p.m. Discussion and Appointment of D. P.W. Director: The motion was made by Selectman Caffyn to discuss and select a D.P'.'W%s Director and commence with the employment of D.P.W. Director. The notion was seconded by Selectman Gottlieb. The vote of the Board is unanimous. The vote is 5-o.
