5 �^ .y F BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 6 MINUTES TES MONDAY,- SEPTEMBE 16 1991 Request to Include Warrant Article Cape Cod Commission Meeting on September 12, 1991 to see if the Town will. vote to advise and instruct the Selectmen to take all appropriate action to prevent the construction of an efflent outfall tunnel planned to empty into the Cape Cod Bay or take any action thereon. The motion was rade by Selectman Lawrence to include this article in the warrant'. The motion was seconded by Sole tr an Gaff n. The vote of the Board is unanimous, The vote i 4-0. This article will be l eluded as Article 2 in the Warrant* Article 2 will become Article 38 in the warrant. The motion was made by Selectman Lawrence to approve and execute the Warrant Articles approved for the October Town Meeting to be held on October 7, 1991 . The motion was seconded by ' Selectman Hanson, The vote of approval is unanimous. The vote is 4-0. Full-time member to the V nservathn Commission, The motion was made by Selectman Ca.ffyn to appoint Kathleen E. Terrio as full voting member to the Conservation Commission. The motion was seconded by Selectman Lawrence. The vote of the Board is unanimous. The vote is -o• A oant ent of a. Senior Clerk for the -Assessor' s Office Mr. David Bailey made le note he would like to withdraw the recommend- ation and reinterview the finalists. Selectman Caffyn noted she is in favor of the Board of Assessors designating the choice of senior clerk. Selectman Jacobson feels the appointment should be a joint decision. Selectman Lawrence concurs with Selectman Jacobson. They would like more information. It is recommended to discuss this on the 30th of September, Selectman Hanson has suggested for the Assessor' s to wait for the recommendation of the Board of Selectmen and move on it at that. time. If the sit ation is in an emergency, the Board will meet prior with the Assessor' s, The mo.tion was made by Selectman Hanson to appoint the senior clerk jointly with the Board of Assessors. The motion was seconded by Selectman Lawrence. The entire school system including children at the Cape Cod Technical Institute amount to 14y050 pupils of school age.
