BOARD of SELECTMEN Paige MINUTES TUESDAY, OCTOBER 15, 1991 SHARE Program: The first delivery is October 28 , 1991 states Mr. Consalvi , The money has to be in by the second Monday or Wednesday of the month. You could volunteer to package food . Mr. consalvi asks for permission to place a poster in '.the building. He notes there are 350 , 000 families in New England participating in this type of program that .is composed of other organizations . Mashpee is still a great place to live states Mr , consa.lvi and this may help to ]roost Mashpee . Selectman Hanson - suggests to check with the Town clerk since she is -the posting authority in the building. Doris Rodrigues noted there is a connection Booklet that will have- the number of SHARE in it . : o p.m. Mr. Dion re : Boat operations : it .' Iii on was not present for discussion of this topic . Reconsideration of recall Election : Selectman Caffyn asks for consideration towards the recall election. She asks if the motion is for an individual or to call for a specific addressed election? The motion as discussed was to set the date for the recall of Willard Hanson states Selectman' Jacob son. We should proceed with this as a recall of all three people recalled states Selectman caffyn. She interprets October 12th as five days from the notice of recall and October 15th as the day of business . The voters requested us to proceed with a recall election and until we receive a letter from the Town clerk, we should proceed . I would suggest that if Mr . Hanson would step down on his own, then 1 obviously would step down on mine and there would be no quorum states Selectman Lawrence, Selectman Jacobson suggests to do thea separately with one motion for each individual . Selectman caffyn would like to do this for the record. Ne reacted to my recall at the request of the Town clerk states Selectman Hanson. We would be out of order or premature since there has been no direction from the Town Clerk. How do we vote or make a motion prior to her request? Town counsel concurs . Such a vote would be meaningless or empty without advice from the Town clerk. She noted Benway and Lawrence were not subject to recall since they are within six months of their term. The Town clerk has announced to the press that the election could not be held informs counsel . This was based upon her ruling and upon the .decision of the office of the Secretary of State.
