Fire and Police indicates
Nis. Oakley. The dispatcher answers the emergency call , dispatches
the call and then answers the second- call .
There are seven lines the dispatcher answers reports Ms . MDonald.
This includes the business line. The dispatcher also helps people
at the window and performs cell checks .
Chief Ridgeway gave the assurance that there was no delay ,in.. the
service call . The call was received at 4 : 18 p.m. It was dispatched
to the Fire Department at : 19 p.m. According to the logger, a Police
Officer was- on the scene at # 22 p.m.
We were on the scene nine minutes after the call was transmitted
indicated chief Ridgeway. It is 4 . 5 miles to the scene from the Fire
Department . We were fortunate that no one was hurt. He indicter
there is a problem with the dispatch system.
*Selectman Jacobson would like the Board to continue to review
this and resolve the dispatch situation. She recommends the Board of
Selectmen issue a certificate or statement to those involved with the
Santuit Pond incident *
Selectman Jacobson has urged parents to recogniethe fact that
i
ice at anytime is dangerous.
7 : 25 p.m. Public Hearing: Paul R. Botello for Above round Storage
of Diesel Fuel and Waste Oil. on Bowdoin Road
The notification of' abers was received tonight . All other
information pertaining to the license application is complete.
Selectman Mills asks if the taxes are paid on the property:? It
is not known at this time.
*Selectman Mills recommends to review the payment of taxes auto-
matically for any application. Since this is in a ground water pro-
tection district , she has recommended the Board of Health review the
application.
The tank is a pre--existing non-conforming fuel tank that has
been in e istance for approximately fire years reports Deputy Baker.
He indicates there was no record in his file of permit approval .
Mr. Baker contacted the prior deputy of this concern and was
informed the process was reviewed and a permit was is ued .to Mr. Botello.
Since this is more than 500 gallons of a class b substance, it requires
a license informs Deputy Baker. The prior deputy was not aware o
the license request .
Upon review, Deputy Baker served an order of notice to Mr, Botello.
The policy of Mashpee for outside tanks is that they are to have a
sealed berm and an outside shed with a roof indicates Deputy Baker,
Deputy Baker was assured by Mr. Botello that the tank is outside
the buffer- zone-.marked by snow fence and stakes . It was noted there
is one community well abutting the buffer zone .
The buffer referred to is most likely o ; from the community well
indicates Selbctman Mills , *She has recommended the Board of Health
review this in relationship to the ground water protection district*
selectman Mills would like a written report from the Board of Health
towards this concern.
