t <br /> a <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page <br /> MINUTES <br /> MONDAY, APRIL 6 . 1992 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Resolution for acceptance from the MA Selectmen ' s Assoc. ; <br /> Support is requested from the Board since Mr. Taylor i <br /> scheduled to attend the hearing at the State House tomorrow <br /> related to the municipal share of state gas collections , <br /> For F93 , Mashpee is entitled to $139,000 in funds intended <br /> for hi hwa-y improvement , <br /> *The motion was made by Selectman Lawrence to support the <br /> call upon the Legislature to annually appropriate and full <br /> distribute the legally required 15 of gas tax receipts to cities <br /> and towns for the construction, maintenance and policing of local <br /> roads . The motion was seconded by Selectman Mills. ' NOTE: <br /> Unanimous. 3-09 <br /> EXECUTIVE SECRETARY WEEKLY REPORT: <br /> Mr. Harrington has tolled with the Auto Insurance Bureau <br /> regarding auto insurance rates and premiums . Rates are based on <br /> a fire year average in claims of accidents and injuries . <br /> Mashpee residents are consistent with other cape town ' s in <br /> ., <br /> claims , but exceed surrounding town ' s in the number of thefts . A <br /> report will be submitted by the Auto Insurance Bureau for future <br /> ;. discussion. <br /> Mr. Harrington recently attended a seminar regarding the <br /> American Disabilities Act . Dr, DeMoura is the current <br /> representative to the Town. Mr . Harrington will prepare a <br /> document to indicate who is covered by this legislative act. <br /> Finalization has been made of the rates for the FY93 Managed <br /> Health care Option. The approved rate for an individual per <br /> month i $130 . 00. A family rate is $450.00 per month. <br /> Mr . Harrington strongly recommends the Board offer this <br /> option in addition to the indemnity plan . <br /> ****The motion was made by Selectman Mills to offer a' Managed <br /> Health care option to municipal employee ' s effective July 1 , <br /> 1992 . The motion was seconded by Selectman Lawrence, VOTE: <br /> Unanimous . 3-0. <br /> The draft policy on the notification to residents of roads to <br /> be taken will be available for the Board to review on Monday. <br /> Flea Market Bazaar Guidelines; <br /> The language- has been re-drafted regarding the Flea Market/Bazaar <br /> Guidelines . Selectman Mills, Mr . Harrington and Mr, Marandola met to <br /> discuss the guidelines. <br /> Acceptable with Mr Marandola is the weekly fee to be paid to the <br /> ` Town by the operator. The weekly fee of $250 .00 will generate approx- <br /> imately $5 ,000 in revenue to the Town relates Selectman Mills & <br />
